It is what it says it is. Beyond that, this is the cheapest possible construction. Very thin. Very poor welding.

Seems to be liquid proof. Installed well. It has a nice sight tube. It’s a little thin on the construction material but seems to hold up ok so far. The only thing I really wish it had was the pickup tube lower so it could use all of the fuel capacity.

This tank is a massive step up from the flimsy plastic ones that usually come with Chinese diesel heaters. If you’re tired of dealing with cheap, leaky setups, this is the fix you’ve been looking for.
I’m someone who always finds something to nitpick, and this tank is no exception. I really wish the outlet port were just a little lower so you could squeeze out every last drop of fuel. With a small tank like this, every bit counts. That said, diesel heaters sip fuel so slowly that for RV applications, this tank will likely last you ages.
Here’s why I love it: the original 10L tank that came with my heater let water in, and that ruined my pump in record time. This one? Problem solved. The build quality is solid—honestly, it feels like something you’d find in a high-end piece of gear—and mounting it was a breeze.
It’s not perfect, but for the price, it’s pretty darn close. If you’re upgrading your diesel heater setup, this tank is a no-brainer.

I wanted a metal tank, my thoughts were they are more robust and may at least briefly survive a fire type event. The configuration of this tank also works well for my application, it is taller and narrower than similar capacity tanks. The quality is just there, they didn’t put any more metal thickness or effort into welding it than required. As one reviewer noted the back is not flat, it bows out slightly. I installed it on a flat wall with rubber spacers on the bolts and a rubber gasket pad between the center of the back side and the wall behind it as it was picking up and amplifying the ticking of my diesel heater fuel pump on the other side of the wall. This silenced the tank. I also question if it holds 7l usable as the drain connection is over an inch off the bottom of the tank making the fuel in the bottom of the tank unusable. The upside is it leaves a low spot to collect and contamination and particles that you don’t want coming out of the tank into your fuel pump to plug it. I got the version with the non locking cap, I was impressed, it is vented, the threads work well and it seals ant the cap has a click feature like your auto fuel cap to let you know it’s tight. Overall I’m very happy with it and would buy another if I needed one.

*Update Jan 2025: I wish there were more than 5 Stars to give this awesome little fuel tank. I bought another, so I think that means 10 stars, right? My neighbor came over while I was installing it on the exterior driver side of my Skoolie, and suggested I mount them inside… WTF?! 1. These are for my diesel heater, and diesel stinks, but more importantly, 2. These look WAAAY too cool to hide away. So I’m not speaking with my neighbor for a little while… but hey, YOU GOTTA BUY THESE! (and no, I’m not being paid, I paid full price for both of these tanks.).
Original review; tank is the best deal on Amazon, IMHO. For a little over $30 I have a stainless steel fuel tank with a fuel gauge on it’s side, and it mounts SECURELY with it’s 4 preconfigured mounting holes. This beats those horrible plastic tanks by exponential margins. In addition the plastic tanks don’t shield your fuel from sunlight, so extra props to this badass. And it’s super cool to look at, on top of everything else! Buy this! I promise you eternal happiness! 😎
Edit update(12/21/24) I was sitting in my Shuttle Bus conversion this evening, working on cabinets and enjoying the toasty 73°F while watching the temp outside dip below 25°F, when I noticed it had suddenly become quiter in my bus… And the “toasty” was leaving… My diesel heater ran out of diesel!! My bad. So I ran to buy another 5 gallons. I am not a fan of standing in the cold, dark with a funnel pouring diesel and trying not to spill it. So it hit me like a lightening strike: BUY ANOTHER FUEL TANK!!! And since I already bragged how perfect these are, how could I possibly even look elsewhere? Nope, I’m going to have 2 of these Bad Boys on the side of “Go-Go, Danger Bus” with the fuel line from each meeting at a ‘T’, before finding their way to Vevor Hell.
Now I need to think of another excuse to buy more of these badass cool stainless steel tanks!
