When installing i had to cut about an 1/8 inch from the stud too right when looking from the inside. Put the nut on the stud before you cut it. The top left stud fit in without curing but had to drop the window glass down to bolt it in. Used duct tape to hold the glass position each time. Does not come with new window clips!

This part is a direct fit for a 2005 BMW E53 X5. Once you are in the door and the window is removed, the part is very easy to install. Everything fit perfectly. We’ll see how long it lasts but for the price at $64.00 vs $280.00, I’ll take the chance.

My window now works perfectly. The regulator was perfect. However please order the clips (sold separately) The technician said he couldn’t have made it work without the clips. Good deal!

Part was used to replace a BMW X5 driver side regulator. It fit good. It’s noisier and slower than OEM. It will work. Best advice is not to lower the window all the way down unless necessary. All the way down or holding the button excessively will break the cable barrel plastic slot.
