I had it hooked to the upper radiator hose adapter that you can buy with it and ran my engine, brand new remanufactured engine, and my fans never cut on. So to test it Are used my butane torch to heat it up and it still never cut on. It was so hot that I accidentally forgot and picked it up and burned my thumb and index finger

Correct part but didn’t needed it

1st one didnt kick on till 220F and never shut off
2nd replacement one kicked on at 210F and never shut off
Returned 2nd one and got $$ back. These are trash and so are American Volt versions, also trash with the same issue.
Go with an adjustable like the Mishimoto with the 1/8 npt screw in thread, that one WORKS …

Purchased this item to convert my pickup truck to an electric cooling fan instead of a mechanical one. This switch correctly tells the fan when to turn on and off.
No issues with this switch so far, has been installed for about a week.

DO NOT BUY THESE They come on around 195 and then either don’t switch off, or switch off in the 130’s.

Installed switch, ran the engine to operating temperature. Radiator fan turned on but wouldn’t shut off. Removed switch, bench tested, switch was defective!
