The right side has to be bent before closing gate or it will bend backwards and get caught in gate latch. I’m sure after a while it’ll work better. Not bad for price. Holds me standing on it when emptying out truck bed. Good deal for the price.

The cables were easy enough to install but the first thing we sat on the tailgate that weighed only like 15lbs., the cables pulled apart and my tailgate almost came off! Quality is very poor.

They work but thinner, shorter & made cheap. Tail gate doesn’t lay flat because there shorter than factory. Better than the tailgate laying on the bumper though. Wouldn’t use these on a nice truck but there fine for the beater plow truck.
