I think I got Ckpjdp’s returned item, it did not fit and from how beat up the box was, it looks like a return. I had the car ripped apart and had to go the the auto part store and spent 2x as much to get the right part to get the job done. I needed to get my car back on the road and could not wait for another one to be shipped.

does what it needs to, was not easy to replace. do yourself a favor, do NOT try and bash the old 1 out with a hammer, just take it to the local auto shop and have them press out the old 1. going back together you will have to sand or grind out all the build up from the steel reacting to the aluminum, but the 4 bolt holes will let you sink it flush without needing a press if you do the prep work before reinstalling. fitting on a 07 and looking like OEM this should fit any of the gen 2 prius models and is the same spec as OEM. just hope it lasts the same 160k miles as OEM did.

buy new dust shields when you get this. the old 1’s will be trashed after changing this bearing no matter what you do (they are only 12 bucks each and amazon has them). 1 other thing, the shield for the wheel sensor can be a pain to deal with. make sure its really fitted in place well before driving. my shield would not go back in on driver side after i had mushroomed the opening it sits in, because i was whacking it with a hammer to get the old bearing out. it popped off and chewed the sensor up when test driving the car for the first time. these sensors are 50 to a 150 bucks each depending on where you get them and are a pain to find them in stock.

i fit excellent on my 2007 prius . price and quality was just fine . replacig the whole hub assembly is a lot easier and faster for mechanics so the price will be cheaper for the labor as well since quicker job .. no complaining at this point .

Not sure how long these things are supposed to be good for, but it has got to be longer than 5 months…Sounds terrible and now I have to replace it again. I can’t even find any contact information for the seller to discuss it with them.

Bought two at same time, each came in a different box clearly made in different factories but with the same name and model numbers. The wheel mounting plate on one unit was half the thickness of the other unit. When mounting the wheels after installation and using a professional torque wrench, the unit with the thinner mounting plate had a wheel bolt shear off before I reached 71 ft lbs. So I had to unbolt everything and go buy a new stud and lug nut. Cost me an hours work and another 12 bucks. Not to mention, now I do not trust the quality of these what so ever. The unit with the thicker wheel stud plate did use what appear to be better quality studs. I don’t trust the Chinese made bearings what so ever. If they had disclosed bearings “made in China” I would not have bought them. Next time I will order OEM from an online dealer.

  9. Ckpjdp

Was very unhappy with the quality of the item the item did not fit properly I had to return it
