Fits 2024 outback convenience . Product has been recommended as high quality oil filter on YouTube reviews .

Wix is apparently well rated due to their superior construction and filtering media. The 57055XP fit my 2020 Subaru Outback just like the original filter.

I only buy Wix filters, they have served me well for years, there are other filters out there, but I will spend the extra money for a really quality filter.

Filter of choice according to the the web gurus that tear them apart and check quality. Can be hard to find at times and when that happens I use Mobil 1 filters (another good quality filter according the filter gurus).
RANDI KLIMEK –
Confirmed with mfg website that the filter number I ordered is what I should use in my 2022 Outback. Did my oil change and oil sprayed everywhere. After inspecting, the threads don’t match the threads on the oem filter.

Used for a virtually brand new 2022 outback wilderness. A solid choice for filtration duties on ICE engines. The wix xp and purolator boss filters are really good at filtering out microparticles that damage engines.

Hard to review. I used one in my 2023 Subaru Forester. Fit as it should. Ran the car for 5000 miles. The engine didn’t seize up. So I guess these filters are ok.

I have always changed the oil for my cars over about 50+ years and usually use Wix filters. Currently, seems to do the job for my 2017 Forester 2.5i (original owner and 44k miles.) I am one of those who “prime” the filter before installing it; it even works for open-side-down installation on the Forester. Engine purrs, and I expect to get 150,000+ miles with no problems.
Ebisan –
Good quality oil filter. I usuallly buy oem or Wix for my cars.

You cannot go wrong with WIX. I use WIX for engine oil, engine air, and cabin air filtration. The XP line appears just as high in quality as the regular WIX. The filter definitely works as expected, and you can feel and see the quality. As soon as you take it out of the box, you can tell it has been manufactured to the highest standards solely based on its heft. While this particular filter is used on Subaru’s FB25 engine, I recommend WIX to anyone.
Note: The only drawback to all WIX oil filters that I have purchased is that they do not have any plastic coverings or wrapping to prevent the dust from getting inside the filters while they are in the boxes.
