Bought these to use on my 1996 Grasshopper 725 to use on the hydrostat transmissions as the previous owner had these filters installed when I purchased it. These are motor oil filters, not hydraulic filters. I was having some issues with my Grasshopper once it was up to temp, and these filters were at least partially at fault. Not going to fault the filter for the incorrect application, but I do not recommend using these as hydraulic filters. For the 1996 Grasshopper 725, WIX specifies the WL10352 for this application, however I have had issues tracking down that filter without having to special order it.
At this point, I only use WIX filters if they are available for any project that requires a filter change! The housing on these filters are heavy duty and after seeing several reviews on YouTube of other brands of filters, I am always going to stick with WIX filters! They are manufactured by Mann+Hummel. I used Mann filters on a BMW I used to own, and their filters were always top notch. The WIX filters are no different, and while they may be a few bucks more than the cheaper brands, I enjoy the peace of mind that comes with spending just a few dollars more for a part as important as your oil filter.

The products are ok but I can’t understand why Amazon keeps putting stuff in shipping envelopes instead of boxes. The filters get beat up during shipment. I have returned damaged ones before.
