After many years of using a K&N filter on my Maxima, I have decided to go back to basics with a paper filter. Why? In the past three years I have replaced 3 MAF sensors on my car and that good ol’ K&N has become way too expensive to keep. “Yes” I cleaned the sensors and “No” I did not over oil or use the incorrect oil. It only makes sense that if you suck air through an oil soaked rag that you will always pull oil along with the air. While this may not be a problem for all cars, it was certainly a problem for my Maxiam and I got tired of dealing with it.
So back to paper and I have always had great luck with WIX. It fits like a glove and there is not loss of HP or acceleration between this and my old K&N. There is a bit less growl under the hood, but not much.

This is a great Air Filter . I used in my Infiniti G35 for the last 17 years. Never an issue! Installation is a breeze. Price is great and filter works perfectly! 185K Miles on this filter (still going) and never changed the MAF or Throttle Body,, Change Filter once a year and never lose sleep!

Dealership wanted 4 times what I paid for this filter. Bought this for a 2012 Nissan Murano. Seemed a little bulkier than the one it replaced. It dropped in snuggly, but the cover was a little tough to get clamped back down. Even if you aren’t mechanically inclined, there really is no reason you can’t do an air filter. Seriously, enter your make, model and year followed by air filter on YouTube. Someone, somewhere has done a video on it. Save yourself some money.

This filter is a grea, however I can’t latch my air box down on one side. The rubber lining on the top is thicker then Nissian OEM one. I notice an immediate difference, and NO CEL.

Purchased to replace engine air filter in 2016 Nissan Pathfinder. The air filter goes in easily, however, it is a challenge to close the tabs of the air filter box. Took some real effort.

It’s an old car, and I’ve replaced the air filter before with the same brand, purchased at an auto parts store. The one from Amazon fit great, and matched up with the one recommended by the Wix air filter website.
I did notice that some of the carcarekiosk videos are not quite right; the air filter is on the passenger side in the front, not in the back of the engine area. Undo the hose clamp around the intake, unclip the clips, and disconnect the sensor to remove the top of the housing. Then you can just pop the old filter out and drop the new one in. Should take less than ten minutes.
According to a post on SubaruForester.org the housing in back of the engine area is typically empty for this model year, and kind of a relic of an older design.
