Used Mann OEM filters for the last 4 years on my 2014 Audi S4. I decided to try Wix based on my use with my GMC Envoy and Hyundai Tucson.
After 400 miles I started smelling oil burning and opened the hood to see oil all over the firewall and rear heat shield. The internal oil ring seal is the defective part here. It deformed and shrunk causing my LiquiMoly 10w-40 to seep out. Unfortunate because it only has 48k miles and is a garage queen. Now I’ll have to clean it all out and still purchase a Mann filter to replace.
Oil housing was also properly torqued down. This failures 50% on me for changing to Wix and 50% on wix for a failed part.

Still think wix is the best for the price and quality ratio. But nothing beats the wix XD version but they don’t make them in some filters like this one. Oh well still as good.

It’s a good filter that I’ve personally been using for my Audi a6 since I got the car. Works as it should I suppose

Good value for a decent filter. Wix makes quality filters that I have used for other cars. This filter does not have an inner plastic perforated sleeve like you see on some of the other German brands, but it does the job just fine. I have used this model for my last two oil changes and it is doing well. Filter comes with the two rubber gaskets for filter housing.
