I have used WIX filters for years, never have had any problem with them. They seem to be heavy duty and well constructed. I Always buy them if I can get a good deal on them. I know they make some of the other brands on the market also, including a well known one that starts with an N.

Just as expected. Thanks !

Wix has been around for a long time and is the brand behind Napa Gold air filters, except the Napa Gold is more expensive. I have been using these filters in my cars after a recommendation from a mechanic friend who only uses this filters in his cars as well. They are made of good quality and feel more like fabric than the cheaper filters at walmart. Actually, the Wix products from Amazon are sometimes cheaper than the walmart filters, so I’ve been buying them exclusively from Amazon recently.
This product is a direct replacement for the stock Honda Element. There are 5 or 6 spring clips on the air box, you maneuver the top of the air box around the bar going over the air box, and replace the filter. It only goes in one way properly, so if you have to push really really hard, it is probably upside down. I have been changing my air filter more often than recommended because it simply gets dirty. After less than two years and only about 10k the filters is dirty enough where light does not pass through either on a sunny day, or holding it up to a light bulb. Changing more often is good because it makes sure clean air passes into the engine easily and keeps the insides of the engine clean from particles. Even small particles can build and cause abnormal engine wear, so if you care about your car keep tabs on your air filters. Plus, the filter is only as much as 3.5 gallons of gas at current April 2011 gas prices in Hawaii ($4.35/gal regular and rising!).

I use these in my Honda Element and they work great. Snug fit, just as good as Honda OEM. Keeps the air in the cabin nice and clean. When these are regularly changed my dash collects last dust. Do it yourself and save! Dealerships charge a ridiculous amount to replace items like this.

I am installing this filter in a 2008 Honda Element. This filter seems like a pretty good filter, and I will probably be using this as my regular air filter for this car (if I can find it eligible for the free shipping over $25). It didn’t drop right in, but it wasn’t too difficult to install it in the housing. It probably took me about 60 seconds to get it into the housing, compared to the 15 seconds it took with the OEM part. The OEM part is more expensive and seems to be built to about the same quality.

Works well. Took all of 5 minutes to install, and way cheaper than having the dealership do it for you.

Wix is my go to brand after OEM. It always fits and filters well with no performance loss

Works great in my 2007 Honda Element. WIX is the best. The filter was slightly bent when it arrived, but still fit just fine.
