Look at the gap in the Wix filter compared to the Mobile 1 filter.

Excellent, excellent filter. I change my own oil. When you look at the media thickness, number of folds (which equates to surface area), and overall quality of the construction, there is no comparison. I’ve purchased several different brands of this same filter for my oil changes, including Mobil1, Purolator “Boss”, Bosch premium, Mahle, Fram XTG, and Hastings. And I can tell you first hand none have the combination of construction quality, thickness of media, number of folds. It’s the best I’ve found. The closest I’ve found is the Purolator Boss, but they do not have as many pleats (surface area), the rubber seal that’s included is thinner and flimsier than the Wix, and the interior doesn’t allow as much flow as it’s almost all metal. The Wix XP is my filter from now on.

I would have preferred the mobile one filter, but it was too expensive

Can’t beat Wix quality

This cartridge filter from Wix has an immediate feel of higher quality than the OEM filter or the cheaper brands. It’s absolutely worth the extra dollar or so to step up to this filter. Derek Bieri on Vice Grip Garage is right with his preference for Wix filters.

Worked as expected

It’s an oil filter. It fit. It looks nice and sturdy. Does it work well? Who knows? Really, I mean unless I had high level testing equipment I don’t see how I could possibly know. Nor, for that matter, do I see how anyone else who reviews this filter, or others could know. The one, somewhat objective comment would be that it does seem to have a lot of “folds” in the filtering material, which would translate to a lot of filtering capacity. But do you need that? I don’t know.

This filter will fit a 2011 Toyota Pius perfectly

Great extended drain oil filter. I have been using Amsoil Synthetic oil and changing every 15K miles which works out to be annual oil change. What I do not do is buy the Amsoil Extended drain oil filter, which is rated for 15K mile service. I purchased this filter to go 7K miles, after much research and comparing other brands, this one should work just fine.
