Seem like solid heavy cables ,pure copper. I ordered two 7 foot cables and a 2 foot. The two foot was crimped differently then the longer ones and I could move the lug the others were better but still not quite tight enough for me to feel secure. I ended up re crimping all the ends. I removed the heat shrink to do so and replaced with marine heat shrink for a water tight seal. I believe these should have been done like this originally. One more thing the title/description includes “boat” this is welding cable it is not tinned just bare copper. It has no marine ratings printed on it. It may work fine for any use but was made for one so use at your own risk. If your goin to use this in any location where weather or humidity and moisture will get to it you’ll need to rip off the cheap heat shrink and use marine grade with the adhesive inside to seal it up and stop the copper from oxidizing.

A very far second choice as a primary battery cable. I did not want to buy a sub-par cable as a primary battery cable. The cable is labeled 2 Gauge. It is the same size as standard 4 AWG. Welding cable is welding cable, used as a second choice to other primary cable options.
This is the worst primary battery cable anyone has ever sold me. Way to expensive, 18″ of SAE J1127 has a $6.00 retail value?
I will be installing temporarily, rushed purchase decision. Its a shame I will need to replace as soon as possible. Not what I expected and definitely not at these prices.

Love the product. They did a really good job putting the ends on, and the wire has a high quality outer sleeve.

My Camaro would act like the battery was dead when it was hot and not start. I added this ground wire from the engine to the chassis and it fixed my problem! The wire is a heavier gauge compared to other wire on here and priced right. It’s made of good quality and has held up so far.
