Seemed like normal wipers, installed like one would inspect, looked fine except for the flimsy plastic cover, but that was just cosmetic anyways. Fast forward a few weeks and a few minor rainstorms and light bug removal and they were doing fine.
Last week we had a severe thunderstorm with pretty heavy rain (for Minnesota that is). Driving to work in the storm, and the driver’s side wiper snapped in half and flew off while I was doing about 50mph. The passenger side stayed put, but it made for zero visibility out of my side of the windshield. I circled back after I was done with work and saw the wiper on the side of the road. The only thing keeping it in one piece was the rubber blade.
Frustrating as it was, a little humor came along when putting on a new wiper blade: I found that flimsy plastic cover stayed on the wiper arm and had slid down to the pivot.
