I installed this regulator on my car in February, and the rear window has only been used about four times since. Unfortunately, as I was lowering the window yesterday, the regulator suddenly failed and stopped working.

I bought this for a 2015 BMW 328i rear passenger window. The original one, the cable got twisted and bound, resulting window going halfway up. The install was easy and works great. There are plentiful YouTube videos that show you how if you dont know.
It has been about 3 months and I still have no issues as of yet. The only thing I have noticed is that the new regulator runs faster than the originals. The window goes up and down a tad faster than the other 3 doors. Not a big issue for me.
Now as for its longevity. Can’t say yet. Mine still works but think about it, it’s a rear passenger window. I’m not always opening and closing it. It’s beats pulling your window up by hand and wedging a peice a cardboard on the inside to hold window up in place. Yes… something I did. Tell I bought this.

I’m not a mechanic at all. I have a degree in biology which means zero formal training under the hood (and no, these don’t belong under the hood) but this was a surprisingly simple fix. The cord snapped on my rear passenger window of my 2007 BMW 328i and I got fed up waiting to get into a mechanic. I didn’t need the motor but I’m a firm believer in Murphy’s Law so I figured I would replace the whole assembly in one fell swoop. I watched a YouTube video and did the job with tools I already owned – didn’t even need a drill. You’d never know there was a problem before. I saved a ton of money and the whole job took under 30min, mostly because it was so hot out while I did the fix.

I was skeptic but very impressed at how easy it was to install. So far the window operates as it should. Saved me hundreds vs taking to the shop. I’d give it 5 stars but need to see how lo g it works.
