Having used cramped fingers my whole life to polish rims, this tool was a godsend. It holds your wax or compound very well if you get it into the pores. You can use it wet or dry depending on what you are using. I have had the best luck using the drill on the low setting. Otherwise it tends to fling too much.
One note of caution… be careful to clean the large chunks off first. Any chunks, really. Grains of sand can get stuck in the foam and cause scratches. Also, if you’ve got asphalt tar and stones dried on the wheel, you could easily rip the sponge to shreds.
If you use this tool correctly, it can save you a bunch of time and help create an awesome output.
