I have bird poop issues where I park so I got this to help loosen it up before washing. If you spray it on glass it works but it leaves a nearly clear residue stain where it was sprayed. Like on foggy mornings you can really see where there’s spots where u sprayed it. Other then that it’s solid. I had to use goo gone and really scrub it several times very hard to clear the issue.

Minimal effort with some water and a microfiber towel got all the bug guys, berries and bird poop off the paint.

On the name of the product on Amazon says can remove tar and tree sap, but on the actual product it says insects remover only. I tried it to remove tree sap on my car and it doesn’t do anything, it just smear sap all over the car. Don’t buy for tree sap removal. Waste of money and time.

One of the best bug remover sprays out there. I’ve used alot but this one to me is the best. Rinse vehicle, spray this on bugs let sit for few minutes (in summer 2-3 minutes or colder weather 3-5mins), foam vehicle and begin contact wash.
Will –
The spray trigger allows the bug remover to leak and run down your hand when spraying, which is annoying, and I found that the Hockenheim does very little to help with tree sap. It does work just fine on bug guts and bird poop but not as good as I would have wanted given the rather high price.

Even though I don’t see as many windshield insect casualties these days as I once did, they still end up making a mess, and what they don’t do, the birds that hang out in the tree over where I park more than make up for. This Hockenheim bug remover from Wash & Whips takes care of both with minimal effort on my part. It’s not quite as fast acting for greasy things like tar or sticky things like sap, but with some effort it certainly does more than just dish soap and water. I’ve been using the spray bottle for a while now and am almost out, so if I end up buying a refill, I’m going to end up going the economical route and getting the gallon bottle, and I’m also going to find a different spray bottle as this one has started to leak from the squeeze mechanism. Works really well though, so I’m happy.

Ok but pricey bug remover. The ultimate test of any proclaimed bug remover is the removal of Lovebugs in the deep south when they are in season. We tried this first on just light bug/tar removal like the kind seen just from a few weeks of evening driving. Let it sit for much longer than it recommended, and it did fair. we still needed to use quite a bit of pressure with a bug removing sponge. After the application water beading was heavily reduced, which means a new coat of wax to that area was needed. With the Lovebugs, only a few hours after being subjected to them. Tried the same approach, spray, let sit re-apply. The large majority of them did come off, but once again had to use quite a bit of effort along with the usual bug removal sponge. Tar, it worked great, spray, let sit a few minutes and gone. Ragardless of use or pressure, it is needed to reapply a wax to the surface. But lets be honest, any chemical sprayed on a wax surface is going to do this, so no real negative comments about that feature. As for its overall performance I would say it does do better than the usual wd40 bug approach, but at almost 3 times the price a bit hard to say would repeat buy it when a $4 can of WM wd40 will near do the same thing. Good stuff but bit pricey. Were it not for that, would give it a 5.
