I opted to try this Hockenheim Bug & Insect Remover on my wife’s car. The lights on our Equinox have clouded over so I wanted to see if this spray would help.
After applying and waiting 30 seconds, I can say that it seems to have improved the headlights. While the cloudy look isn’t entirely gone, it has definitely helped.
I also applied the spray on the headlights of my car and they now look brand new.
I appreciate that a cloth is included with the spray … that’s a nice addition.
The top plastic part on the sprayer was pretty loose before I used it. After about 5 minutes of use, the plastic part came off. While not necessary needed, I was a little bummed that it came off so easily.
So, while it may take a little more time than 30 seconds to completely get rid of any grime, sap, or other dirt, I can honestly say that the WASH&WHIPS Hockenheim Bug & Insect Remover did help bring back some of the shine to my cars.

This cleaner works well for love bugs. For me it’s important to not spray or clean in direct sunlight or the stuff dries out and does nothing. In the shade though, spraying this on a million love bugs on the front of my van does good things with a big of soaking. I like the smell. The sprayer, not so much. It’s a cheapo spray nozzle that doesn’t live up to the ones competitors use on their high end car products.

First impressions: Nice spray bottle full of liquid and a microfiber towel. The spray has a slight smell like Windex.
Installation/setup: Spray on, leave 30 seconds, rinse off and wipe with the towel to remove dirt and bugs from your vehicle.
Final thoughts: It works pretty well, it took the bugs off my car windshield and the front grill where they had been for a few weeks. I had to scrub a bit but I had really left it too long for anything to work easily. I like this and I’m glad I got it. The price seems a bit high, but I do think it worked better for me than plain Windex and I’ll let the stars stand. 3.5 rounded up to 4.

Came with the bottle wrapped in the towel. Towel was wet and smelled like it was already used. I don’t write many product reviews. But I am disappointed.

We all like to keep out vehicles clean and looking good so I figured let’s get this to try out. Note while I did receive the product for free, I do have to pay income taxes on the full value of it. My review is based solely on the product itself, nothing more.
I have used a lot of different car products and this Bug & Insect Remover did an excellent job removing dead bugs from our car. Very easy to apply and use. Just spray it on, wait a little (10 to 60 seconds depending on how stubborn and long the dead bugs have been there) and wipe it off. This is great for removing bugs when you detail your car. Plus it comes with a very nice sized microfiber cloth. Excellent product !!!

To make my review more valid, I looked for some bug splatter on the car that wouldn’t come off with just a few passes of a wet rag and didn’t really find any. It’s currently not sappy bug season. I sprayed the cleaner on some different buggy areas, a door paint(?) scrape that didn’t fully come off with water, and a pile of bird poop. After leaving the spray on for approximately 30 seconds and pouring clean water over the areas as directed, I wiped everything clean with the enclosed microfiber. The cloth is a large, plush microfiber. As mentioned before, the bugs probably would have come off with just water and a wipe, so were also cleaned with the spray; the door paint area was improved to the point it was barely visible; the bird poop mostly left with the rinse water, but the bottommost layer had to be removed with a light brushing — mostly because I didn’t want to wipe my cloth on it — then it rinsed clean.
There is a warning about leaving the product on the car in direct sunlight and a disclaimer that the seller accepts no responsibility for damage since they can’t control how the product is used, so take that under advisement. It’s good practice to rinse soap off quickly, no matter what product it is.
I’ll mention that the bottle has a high-tech stopper with several pieces, including a gasket, that make up the spray pump. I would say this seemed over-engineered except that the bottle was mailed in an envelope, without any padding, and the top of the sprayer had been broken off en route. Without the high-tech stopper, I probably wouldn’t have had any spray to test; despite the break, I think I received a full bottle.
While I don’t feel I could give the product a rigorous test, it had no problem handling the tasks that I did give it and I saw no problems after using it. Having a pump spray of car wash for touch-up is certainly more convenient than dragging out the hose and bucket, though with this product, you’ll also need rinse water. I will give it a provisional 5 stars at this point because I haven’t been able to use it on anything that my regular car wash in a spray bottle couldn’t have handled. When I have a chance to test it on some sap or road tar, I may amend my rating.
