Excellent cost efficient way to repair a rusted flange. Loud exhaust noise let me know I had an exhaust leak in the rear area of the resonator pipe in my 01 Maxima. I was initially going to swap out the entire reasonator assembly, but when I went under the car and took a closer look, the reasonator and piping was solid. This is the original stainless steel pipe that came with the car. Good stuff and not to be removed on a whim for cheap aftermarket material that will rust out in 2 years. Only the flange had deteriorated. Indeed it had rusted away from the pipe where the original flange weld was. Decided to keep the original piping. It was easy enough to remove the flange bolts and the rusted flange and put this repair in place. Exhaust problem solved. This replacement flange will attach right before where your pipe flares out. Be sure to order a gasket and get new (longer) flange bolts. Pics below are as follows: 1. Shows rusted flange separating from pipe. 2. Old flange removed. 3. Close up of Walker 36132 in place. 4. Bought two, one for each side. Saved me a bunch of money. Didn’t have to buy a new cat and tailpipe when the flanges rusted out. Had to work around a sensor, but I just bought long bolts and moved the flange behind the sensor. All is good.

This item fits a 2 inch pipe exactly. It’s outer flange holes are 3 1/2 inch. My connecting flange had 4 inch, so I had to elongate the outer split flange holes to fit. It would be nice to have had a 3 1/2 – 4 inch slot to start with to accommodate different unions. Still no big deal, as it cuts easy with a jig saw. I’m happy with the out come, as it’s an easy fix for a change.

My much loved 20 year old Honda Element needed a replacement flange on the tailpipe end of the Catalytic converter. This Split Flange from Walker was the perfect solution. No welding needed. I would buy this again. Needed a flange that fit a 2 inch OD pipe and this one worked well for me.

Quick and easy to install.. I like that I did not need to weld exhaust pipe joints anymore with this.. Just bolted it over what was left of the rusted out flange and it held well.. Will buy again when needed.. I only hope that prices for these products will get more easier on the budget with time..

I had a flange that had rotted off my exsaust. I did not want to spend lots of money to hook up the tail pipe again. So I found this. It fit purfect. I was able to go to the hardware store and get a couple longer bolts and suck it all tight together again. If I had to, I would order again. Just measure the out side diameter of your pipe you are ordering for. You most likely will have to go to the hardware store and get some longer bolts to install it. Other than that, it works great.

It worked, but not as designed. I measured my pipe 3 times, with calipers, and it is a 2″ OD. The part was too small so the bolts had to be left a bit loose and the slots made more narrow to make it mate to the header flange. Order a size up so it snugs up tight and swivels as it should.
Mine is just on a stationary generator so it’s okay. I wouldn’t trust it like this on a car and would have had to send it back for the bigger one.
