Great pads for the price. Not noisy at all. Did use ceramic grease on the back of them, as I do all my brake pads now. Did all the way around my Malibu with Wagner Quick stop pads and new GM rotors, and everything worked well. I have the J60 brakes, with the solid rear rotors, so I purchased Carlisle brake clips for the back pads seperatly. Stops well, you might notice a funny smell until the brake pads wear in, but it will go away. I have used these pads before on another car, and they were good. They feel like the OE pads stopping power wise, no surprises. Some pads may offer shorter stopping distances, like Power Stop pads, but these are very good. Wagner brake pads are great quality.
Update February 28,2021……..they still work very well. They can make some noise when cold and wet, but that goes away after one brake application. They stop better now that they are fully seated. I like these pads. For as inexpensive as they are on Amazon, they are very good. I have the Quickstops in the back too, and they work very well. The basic GM branded rotors I put at all 4 wheels are great with them.

I took my wheels off to inspect my pads. Front rotors warped. The pads themselves are very rusty, probably not a good choice if you live in a salt belt area. Getting thin at all 4 wheels with less than 50,000 miles on them. If I had to do it over again, Id probably step up to the Thermoquiets or OEX. I got a deal on another manufactures brake pad, going to try them.

I made it to 60,000 miles with them. The pads were rusting badly. I think for the investment in your car, step up to a better brake pad that will last longer, either from Wagner or a competitor. I switched to Bosch Quietcast and they are superior. I imagine the OEX pads from Wagner are very good.

Fit my Malibu LTZ perfectly. They popped right on and the job was done in less than 20 mins. So far (a month in) I have no squealing, squeaking, or grinding. Dust is almost nonexistent. They stop on a dime. Great set of front pads!!!

Paired these up with the ACDelco Severe Duty slotted rotors, as this vehicle seems to be hard on standard brake parts.
Pros:
– Good brand reputation.
– Good product specific reviews.
– Reasonable price point.
– Stop well and quietly.
– Appears to be genuine and not counterfeit.
Cons:
– There is a lot of pad compound and backing plate stamping flash in the backing notched surfaces that ride within the metal shims to allow the pads to slide in/out. This all needed to be cleaned out meticulously by hand using small files. They now are nice but it was an extra 15 minutes of work needed prior to use, and the protective finish is now compromised which will result in quicker rusting in an area I really don’t want to rust. Never seen this before on name brand pads, and I’ve done a fair number of brake jobs.
Only time will tell how long these will last, how much dust they will produce, and how they will wear the rotor. All things considered I’ll give these an “above average” rating out of the box. May revise after some miles.
