This charger works great for my motorcycle batteries and a 35ah deep cycle battery. Its a smart charger so to speak and very well made. I’m sure it will last a long time.

I dont know what people are talking about with the charger getting hot mine stays cool anyways, I love this charger it’s simple, easy to tell if fully charged, it doesn’t charge too fast, which is perfect since faster chargers lead the battery to not last as long, and also that it refreshes the battery if discharged for too long I’d recommend this charger for any battery

I’ve used a number of 12v chargers, but this is the best. I primarily use it to recharge a VMAX 35Ah AGM trolling motor and 8Ah AGM fish finder battery. I sometimes spend 10 hours or more on the water on a pontoon, so I needed the lightest batteries I could get away with, and maximizing their charge is essential. So far, this system has always got me back to the dock with power to spare.
Four green and one red LED lights give info re discharge level at start of charge and real-time charge status (lights also flash if you reverse polarity). When done, it shifts to trickle charge, so battery is always at its peak. Also like that it is small and light compared to other chargers. Standard computer power cord (IEC) connector can be removed, and it easily stores tackle bag.
Highly recommended.
Book Nitpicker –
Lasted 3 years in sheltered ordinary light use and then quit working. Other owners have said the same, so it looks like a design flaw rather than a fluke. No warranty information on the Amazon page, it just says “Please contact the seller directly for warranty information for this product.” Nor could I find warranty info on the VMAXTANKS web site page for this item, it only shows a warranty period for their batteries. This charger is not American-made and IMHO not professional. For comparison I have American-made chargers from 20 years back that still work OK.

Works perfect. The LED lights are great to see what stage the charge is in and when its close to full. I use this with a deep cycle 35AH 12v battery for my trolling motor. It always gave a nice full charge each time I went to use the battery.

I like this charger/maintainer. Simple to use and works well. I use it mainly for my 35AH VMAX battery for my trolling motor but have charged other batteries with it. It gets a little warm towards the end of a charging cycle, but cools right down when battery is fully charged and unit is in maintain mode.

Small and light and works as well as any charger I have used. It does take a while to fully charge a battery, but that is no problem for me.
