VERY cool camera. I’ve been using dash cams for years, and they have really come a long way. Vantrue makes a decent affordable camera, so I have 4 of them (one in each family member’s car). This new one is a big leap forward in the way of added features. The really big deal is the lens – you are basically seeing everything that is going on in and around the car. On older dash cams you had to decide where to point camera – you saw some stuff but missed others. With this camera, you get EVERYTHING in one view. It has audio as well – and does a decent job of picking up sound.
The mount is sweet. I HATE suction cup mounts (they always end up failing off in cold winter or hot summer days). The E360 comes with a pad with 3M adhesive – sticks right to the window and isn’t going anywhere.
Setup was quick and straightforward – you do it through an app instead of having to fumble with tiny buttons on a tiny camera.
I’m super frugal, and this camera is not cheap – but I would buy it again in a heartbeat. The camera feels VERY sturdy – I am assuming it will (like my other Vantrue cameras) last a long time. This camera replaced an older working Vantrue camera. I would have stuck with what I had, but the wraparound view of the E360 was just too big a temptation.

I have been using this dash cam for about ten days now. The number 1 feature I like is the 360 panoramic view and the video quality. This dash cam is user friendly, super easy to set up. It’s got all the features like high quality night vision, dual fisheye, pairing it with smartphone, GPS, voice control features, parking mode , WiFi etc. Worth the money and highly recommended, if my experience changes I will update my review accordingly.

What I Love:
1. Dual-Use Brilliance
Last weekend, I detached it from my wife’s car and used it as a 360-degree action cam during a hike. The panoramic mountain footage blew up my social media. This versatility is something traditional dash cams can’t match.
2. Touchscreen Works Surprisingly Well
I expected lag, but the responsive touchscreen makes reviewing footage at red lights effortless. The double-tap to lock clips during emergencies is a lifesaver.
3. Night Vision Exceeded Expectations
For a multi-purpose device, low-light performance impressed me. Even with glaring headlights, license plates remain readable in playback. This is a huge relief for night driving.
Quirks to Adapt To:
1. Panoramic’ Is Stretching the Truth
My first realization: it completely misses the rear view of the car behind the bumper. Calling it “360-degree or full panoramic dashcam” feels misleading, though the added cabin/side coverage still beats single-lens cams. Lacking the rear camera is really a miss because drivers would expect some evidence if the car is rear-ended.
2. Distortion Needs Workarounds
Early 360° clips made my car look like it melted. Switching to fisheye mode helped, but post-processing (e.g., Premiere’s lens correction) is often needed for serious evidence.
3. It’s a Bit Obtrusive
It needs to be mounted on the windshield, it slightly blocks visibility in my compact car. I’ve since pushed it higher, sacrificing some coverage for clearer sightlines.
Tips Based on My Usage:
1. Master Mode Switching:
– Daily Commute: Front+interior fisheye (least distortion)
– Highway: Single ultra-wide (focus on road)
– Weekend Adventures: 360° mode (creative shots)
2. Must-Have Accessories:
– Large capacity high-endurance microSD card (360° files are huge)
– Mini tripod (for off-car use)
– Lens wipes (fingerprint magnet!)
3. Wishlist for Next Gen:
– Add a rear-cam port for true 360-degree coverage
– Slimmer design to reduce blind spots
– Built-in app tools to fix distortion
Perfect For:
Rideshare Drivers: Dual cabin/road recording prevents disputes.
Road Trippers: Merge dash cam security with travel vlogging.
Tech Tinkerers: Fun to experiment with multi-mode filming.
Final Verdict:
Not the best dash cam nor the best action cam, but the best compromise for users who want both. If you can overlook its flaws, it’s a uniquely practical gadget.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars – Great for multi-taskers; perfectionists should look elsewhere.

Just installed and what a high quality product. User friendly, good images and fast download via 5G. I’m so glad I got it.

Already owning a Vantrue N4 3 Channel dash cam, I knew this would be a quality product.
From the packaging, to the easy to install instructions, and the build quality, I was right. The 360 degree images are crisp and clean. The video is smooth and sharp. Connectivity to your smartphone is a great feature as you can see images as large as your phone’s screen in real time. Menu access on the dashcam as well as the smartphone is convenient and easy to control and adjust. The various lens settings are useful.
I like this product so much, I purchased the rear camera as well. It was reasonably priced and also easy to install.
Customer service has been prompt, attentive, and helpful as well.
You won’t be disappointed with this product.

My first high end dash cam was a Vantrue N2 many years ago that is STILL going strong! Since that dash cam, I’ve used offerings from FitCamX and Viofo but by far the Vantrue provided the best bang for the buck and trouble free experience. So when my brother was looking for a dash cam, I offered to look around to see what would make most sense for him and landed on the E360.
Since I don’t live near my brother and he isn’t that tech savvy, I didn’t want to get him a setup that would require him to run a rear camera. In came the E360 which I felt would give a ton of coverage in an easy to set up package.
As with prior Vantrue products, the packaging and thought that went into the various accessories were second to none. I know a lot of folks have mentioned the lack of a memory card being an issue but honestly I’d rather be able to choose my own memory card vs. having one packaged in where I might not care for the brand or memory size. Right after unpacking the camera, i checked Vantrue’s site and downloaded the latest firmware.
While I still have a soft spot for the Vantrue N-series form factor, I love the dual purpose packaging of the E360 where one could pop it on a stick and take 360 videos / photos on a hike. The camera offers a number of different camera modes but I found the default 360 panoramic mode to be my preferred mode. Distortion is minor and Vantrue cleverly stitched the footage together where you can’t really make out the seam. With the wonderful coverage across the front, side windows and interior / rear window, I think this camera’s form factor gives you the most coverage in an easy to install package.
As for quality, the camera performs wonderfully. I took a still of one of the videos and even with a truck to my side, by zooming in, I could CLEARLY make out the license plate. I expected to be able to clearly read license plates straight ahead but honestly didn’t really expect to be able to do that on the edges of the camera lens.
In terms of usability, I actually prefer to not have a screen on my dash cams as they are usually too small to be of any real value. But the screen gives me a quick way to adjust the positioning in case I knock it out of position. But again, with the field of view and panoramic nature of it, I feel like that’s not going to be much of an issue for this camera. The fantastic green power / capture button on the left side is a GREAT design choice. I instinctively pressed it during a drive and quickly confirmed the capture. Pretty sure my brother will also instinctively understand what it’s for.
The Vantrue app is actually one of the better ones out there. Way better than the FitCamX and Viofo app I’ve used in the past. No real complaints here!
If there is one con, as much as I love the overall form factor, I sort of wish it didn’t hang so low from the mount. I think the form factor is absolutely fine if they were able to attach it to the mount higher. Vantrue’s N5 dash cam and mount seems to have the right idea. I don’t think this is a real issue for cars that might have a smaller rear view camera attachment or ones with very large windshields. But for smaller cars, I think it might hang lower than preferred.
Overall, Vantrue doesn’t mess around with their product offerings and they knocked it out of the park with this unique 360 pano unit! Shipping it off to my brother as soon as I get done playing around with it some more. Although I’m somewhat keen on keeping it especially for bike rides and hikes!

I’ve been using the Vantrue E360 5.2K 360° Panoramic Dash Cam, and I have to say, it’s one of the best investments I’ve made for my car. The 5.2K resolution is incredible—it captures every detail with stunning clarity, whether I’m driving during the day or at night. I’ve even been able to pick up license plates and road signs with ease, which gives me peace of mind knowing that everything important is being recorded.
The 360° panoramic view is a game-changer. Unlike standard dash cams that only capture what’s in front of the car, this one records everything around me—front, sides, and rear. It’s been super reassuring, especially in busy parking lots or while driving in heavy traffic.
Night-time recording is another area where the E360 really shines. Thanks to its advanced sensors and HDR technology, the footage is just as clear in low-light conditions as it is during the day. Even when driving through poorly lit areas, the camera adjusts beautifully to ensure I can see every detail.
The user experience is also a big plus. The touchscreen interface is intuitive and makes it so easy to adjust settings or review footage. I also love the built-in WiFi, which allows me to transfer videos directly to my phone via the app. It’s been incredibly convenient for quickly sharing footage or backing up important clips without having to mess with an SD card.
One feature I didn’t know I needed until I used it is the Parking Mode. It keeps recording even when my car is off, which has been great for catching any incidents while I’m away from the vehicle. The motion detection is super sensitive, so I never worry about missing anything.
The build quality feels solid, and installation was straightforward. It came with everything I needed, including a suction cup mount and a car charger. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the high-resolution files take up a lot of storage, but I got a large SD card, so it hasn’t been an issue.
Overall, the Vantrue E360 is worth every penny. It’s a little pricey, but the combination of amazing video quality, full 360° coverage, and all the advanced features makes it an excellent investment for anyone who prioritizes safety and security on the road. I couldn’t recommend it more!

I found the E360 dashcam really easy to install in the vehicle. And while it is not super hot here right now theoretically the manner in which this dashcam is attached to the windshield should allow it to work much better than my previous dashcam where the suction cup fails in really hot weather with direct sunlight beating down on the connection area. So, I really liked the way there is a small plastic sheet (similar to what the protection screen that lots of people would apply to their smartphone screens) applied to the windshield and then the dashcam base sticks to that plastic screen.
The set-up of the functionality of this dashcam was also really easy and intuitive. The menu items can be pulled up by swiping down from the top of the screen which is similar to what smartphone users would do to pull up a number of smartphone features. Moving through the menu items was also very easy and the camera is very responsive with there being no lag when you swipe left/right or up/down on the screen.
Setting up the dashcam for the first time was also a fairly simple process. The dashcam comes with a quick set-up booklet that is easy to follow. Note that I did have one step that I missed and as a result I ended up reaching out to Vantrue’s Support Team by both e-mail and by phone. In both cases the Support Team was really prompt in responding. By e-mail it was in less than 1/2 the time they indicated on their website a response could take. And by phone when I reached out they called me back within about 1 minute of me calling them. And the Customer Support Team Member I spoke with was able to assist with my set-up question in a matter of minutes. I did not ever feel that my question needed to be escalated to anyone other than the one and only Customer Support Member I spoke with.
Photo Quality-I have attached a couple of photos above. Please note that I have adjusted the width of these photos so they do not represent the full width of any photos that you would actually see when using the dashcam. I thought the expanse of the photos and also of the video this camera takes was just excellent. Much wider views than I was able to get from my previous dashcam. And when taking snapshots the dashcam takes a shot of both the view out the front windshield of the vehicle as well as from the rear facing lens so it will capture both front and back views.
I also thought the quality of the video and photos was really quite good.
I also really liked the built in functionality that allows you to view video and photos from the E360 dashcam. It was really easy to use. And the ability to add the Vantrue app to your smartphone and view photos and video on the spot through your smartphone (through wi-fi) was also an extremely beneficial and useful tool. I expect most dashcams allow you to view video and pictures through a smartphone now but this dashcam absolutely has that benefit included and I am mentioning this because my previous dashcam did not have this functionality available.
I would very much recommend this dashcam for the ease of installation and really importantly for me because it would appear this dashcam will stay in place on the windshield better than the dashcams with suction cup technology during really hot weather, the amount of area captured by the video/photos, the quality of the videos/photos, the benefit of the Vantrue app for your smartphone, the build quality of this dashcam and last but certainly not least the Customer Service support from Vantrue.
So, after about 10 days of use, this has been a really great product for me so far and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a solid, well built, quality dashcam. And my experience with Vantrue (product and support) has been a very positive one. Highly recommend the E360 and Vantrue.

Packaging
The Vantrue E360 5.2K 360° Panoramic Dash Cam is well packed and each piece is individually wrapped in plastic.
Installation
It includes instructions on how to mount the camera to the car’s windshield and how to power the camera using the cables provided. The manual lacks instructions for setting up the app to connect to the camera. Thankfully, this isn’t a major issue, as the steps are clearly outlined on their website. Installing the E360 dash cam was incredibly easy, the mobile app is user friendly and pairs seamlessly with the camera via Wi-Fi.
Front View
The E360 dash cam records a sharp and expansive view of the road. Equipped with night vision, it captures license plates and most importantly potential incidents with clarity regardless of the time of the day.
Cabin View
It is perfect for capturing activities inside the vehicle. Equipped with night vision, it records clear footage even in the dark, making it excellent for recording passengers during road trips or rideshare passengers.
Side and Rear Windows
Depending on the dash cam placement and lens angles, it captures some area of the side and rear windows.
Panoramic view
For drivers who want complete visual coverage of their vehicle, the high resolution 360 degree recording makes it an excellent option for safety, all combined into one single video.
I believe the price is reasonable considering the E360 camera’s quality and Vantrue’s top notch support. This is my third dash cam from Vantrue, and whenever I need help, they respond promptly. I’m sure this will not be my last Vantrue Dash Cam product.
