I put these on a brand new windshield literally the same day that it was replaced. These form to the curve of the windshield on my R56 Mini Cooper S pretty well, but they have streaked badly from the start. They don’t skip or chatter, even at freeway speeds, but either the rubber is not very good quality or maybe the metal that holds the rubber inserts needs to be stiffer. They seem to have uneven pressure points. The area between the spots where the frame presses the blade into the glass are where the streaks are. Maybe I got an old pair with dried out blades? As they are, they make driving in the rain at night fairly difficult due the toe glare from the streaks.

I have a 2004 MINI Cooper and I have tried a number of high-end wipers, including Bosch, Rain-X and Aero and none of them properly fit the contour of the windshield on the passenger side. Most did not due a great job at cleaning after a very short time. All of them were plastic. These Valeo wipers, on the other hand, perfectly match the contour of the windshield on both the driver and passenger side. They maintain complete contact with the windshield throughout the entire sweep. There’s no chatter, squealing or streaking. Except for the blade itself, the construction is all metal. They are light and sturdy. Plus the driver’s side wiper has the air foil just like the one on the factory wipers. This no doubt keeps the wipers on the glass while traveling at high speed. Since I just installed them I don’t know how long they will last. But all the other brands I’ve used lasted about 6 months. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the installation instructions are very small and printed on the box (as opposed to being printed on a sheet of paper, in greater than 1 point font. The illustrations make the process look more complicated than installation actually is. Unless this is the first time changing your wipers, none of that should matter. In any case, installation is very easy and is sufficiently covered in the MINI Owner’s Manual.

Boy, oh, boy. With all of the choices nowadays regarding windshield wipers, what do you pick? A recent report by Consumer Reports declared that most windshield wiper brands were virtually identical in quality. And no matter what they say, they all need to be replaced after about six month. So the only remaining questions are about cost, aesthetics, and will they work with my car?

I bought these for my 2006 MINI Cooper, and they fit great. They were easy to install. And I expect to replace them in six months. Plus, this package includes both wipers. I have found that on most sites, you have to buy the wipers separately which adds to the shipping cost. But ordering them both in one package using Amazon Prime, I was able to save a bit of money as well.

They also look nice. So these are the ones I’ll be purchasing in the future.

I have a 2012 Mini Clubman and like others stated, I tried just about every wiper on the market at the local auto shop place. It was a waste to try all of the big brands (Rain X, Bosch, etc.) and all of them left streaks.

I then did a bit of research and realized I would have saved a bit of money just buying Valeo (the BMW/Mini OEM) wipers. What a life saver! These are perfect and at the price that this seller had them, greater perfection!

When they need to be replaced, I will only purchase these. Excellent and thanks to the seller for selling them here so we aren’t paying Dealership prices!

Fits my 2009 Mini Cooper perfectly with the J hook arm. Just like OEM. Well constructed and easy to install.

  6. Gregory Liebman

I have a 2013 Mini Clubman. All of the sites told me that this was the wrong type blade, as it has a “j-hook” and not the standard “bayonet” . I don’t know if the arms were changed out after it left the factory, or what, but if you have the “j-hook” type, this is the correct type. I ordered the others without looking, and they were much flimsier and didn’t have the OEM airfoil. These are much sturdier, were exceptionally easy to install (if you watch the video) and fit perfectly. It’s a rainy day, so I took them for a spin, and they worked perfectly.

My pre-owned MINI Cooper’s blades were leaving streaks, particularly on the driver side, to the point where my vision of the road was dangerously obstructed by rain, snow, and grime that wouldn’t wash off when using wiper fluid.

Having never replaced blades before (first car), installation instructions that were on the the back of the box could have been a little clearer. There were no instructions for removing the existing ones, so I turned to Google and a lot of trial and error. Putting the new ones on is slightly difficult to discern from the handful of diagrams. I imagine if there were at least my second time, I’d have figured things out immediately. So this is a nitpick.

That said, once you get it, you get it. The blades helpfully snap/click into place by sliding them into position, in such a way that installing them e.g. upside down is not easy to do, as you can tell the blades are not secure.

These blades are a perfect fit for my (March) 2004 MINI Cooper and leave no streaks (obviously; being new). The blades being metal as opposed to plastic fit better with the original aesthetic of my MINI and the wiper arms themselves than the blades replaced did. Driver’s side blade has a spoiler, where as passenger side does not. (Allegedly these are how OEM blades look? I wouldn’t know.)

Blades fit my 09 Clubman and work great in the hardest of Fla downpours

  10. Jill N

Look VERY nice, but if using them to clean your windshield–be prepared to use a lot of sprays. For rain, they’re awesome though. The quality is good and easy to install once you get it. Love the spoiler which goes on the driver side FYI. 😉
