I have another one of these types of auto suction car mounts, but this one also swivels, so figure I would check it out. Compared to the other similar car mounts, because it swivels, it is taller than the other ones I have. Not necessarily a bad thing if your car is larger, and has plenty of space, but if you’re putting it somewhere cramped, maybe it would appear extra.
There’s a power touch control, which I am not sure if I dislike it in this form. You have to touch and hold for a few seconds and the orange light will blink to let you know it powered on/off. I would much rather if it was an audible beep or something, would make the interface function a bit better instead of looking for the little LED light.
As far as the magnetic suction, it is pretty strong, and is able to handle Pro Max phones no problem, so majority of phones should be able to be held securely by this. I think the swiveling function also makes it more versatile, whether for the driver or the passenger. Kind of niche, but nifty at the same time.
For a passenger that want to watch something handsfree on a long roadtrip, this can definitely help you get that right angle.

Despite of reading the provided instructions, I still don’t know if it would automatically adjust the suction over time but I am thinking not. When you first activate the suction, it does create a very strong suction but it does lose the strength over time. You then need to press the power button (touch-based) and then press down to depress the button to activate the suction. What I don’t like about the device is that you then need to make sure you turn the device back off or else the battery will drain off. However, it is very heard to know whether the device is currently off or on. I wish it is a simple on/off toggle instead of a touch-based method. Because it is black and on the back of the device, you could accidentally turn it on without knowing.
Without the above issue, it’s a very compact and flexible holder; flexible in that you can place it on any flat surface so long as it is NOT texture. If it is on a textured surface, you can apply the provided “sticker” to create a untextured surface to place the device on. Of course you can also attach it to the windshield but given what I stated above, it may lose suction and fall off.

My car already has built in screens all over, so I rarely need to have my phone mounted. This little device is a nice way to mount my phone when I do need it. It has good grip on the main glass screen of my car, and it feels very sturdy. I’m not worried about my fairly heavy Samsung S24 ultra pulling the mount off the glass while I’m driving.
I like that this design has some sort of air pump that maintains the suction if it were to loosen up somehow, and it’s good peace of mind because I rarely hear it running unless I pull it off and release some of the suction.

The magnet would not attach to anything unless it was steel or flat and completely smooth so not very versatile. It held my phone well but whenever I put it on something every few seconds it would make the suctioning noise as if it was trying to latch on again and wasn’t grasping which you could hear in my videos when it happened. I wish the size of the arm was a little bit longer so that I could maneuver it a little better. It did not fit well on many surfaces and was not sturdy because it kept trying to vacuum on

This device works really well and has a great grip on the surface – IF you have a perfectly smooth surface. My car has a pebble dashboard, and the only places which are perfectly smooth for good suction are too low or deep for it to be useful. Unfortunately for me it won’t work, but I WISH it did!!

I wasn’t expecting too much of this when I ordered it, but I figured it was worth a try. When it arrived, I was shocked with how strong the grip of the suction cup was. I suctioned it to my table and lifted the entire table top up trying to lift it off without using the release button. Speaking of, it releases very easily when you press the release button, so theres no worry there. It doesn’t grip very well to porous surfaces like wood, but it still does grip relatively securely to some of those surfaces. I highly recommend this for use in the car or in the restroom, its very very secure and I love it. I keep it in my bag now.
