Bought for 1980 Xl250s and it fit/functions as it should. Great value for an annoying problem. Would recommend to anyone with a faulty or broken choke cable.

For anyone with an XR250L this cable it about 8 inches too long. Rather than the back and forth and headache of returning it, I resolved this issue by building a bracket to raise the choke mount. It works good enough until the bike warms up.

Does not work for the XR250L the housing is way too long. You would have to make an entirely different mount for the cable to make this one work. On the XR250l the cable mount is about 2″ away from the choke, so at full choke, it needs to have about 2″ of cable still sticking out, these have none.
