Used this to power a dashcam and a small GPS device from a USB-C power bank, and it worked without any issues. It’s compact and feels well-made, and the cigarette lighter socket holds plugs securely. Just be mindful of the 18W max limit—this isn’t meant for anything high-draw like a vacuum or tire inflator. For lighter devices, though, it’s a convenient way to add 12V power on the go.

The WYMECT USB C to 12V Adapter arrived packaged economically in a zip lock style bag and came in good condition. My main use for this is as a converter for a car powered car play monitor that runs 12v and it worked great for that purpose. Looks to be fairly well made with braided cabling and plastic connectors.

I got a dash cam, but it came with a cigarette power outlet, which had no where to plug into. This was the perfect “middle guy” between the dash cam and my car. It’s working well. Other reviewers talked about it melting. For the dash cam, I noticed that it was getting a little warm after driving for 25 min to work. It wasn’t hot but noticeably warm, which makes me feel a little anxious toward summer.

This USB-C to cigarette lighter converter is a convenient way to use a power bank or laptop to power a device that normally plugs into a cigarette lighter. It takes 5V input and up-converts it to 12V. There is a voltmeter on the converter box, but it’s not very accurate. It showed 12.2V when my multimeter read 12.45V at the cigarette lighter socket. Probably good enough for normal usage though. You do have to be careful because this has a maximum output current of 18W (and to support that the input has to support 5V @ 3.8A), so only use for small devices.
