Purchased for a 2014 Buick Encore. As long as you have a functioning remote this programs easily.
Start the car with the known good remote, turn off and then start the car with the new remote, it’s then programmed. Prior to this you have to install the old key in the new remote. Very tricky but doable.

The service was excellent and the keys I ordered arrived quickly and they were the same exact remotes I ordered. The programing was pretty simple and you don’t have to go to a dealer. My vehicle is a 2016 chevy Trax so all I had to do Is remove the metal key from the remote and take my old one and put it on the new remote. To do that I tapped out the pin with a small screw driver. Now the old key may be a little thick where it goes into the remote so you file the side opposite where the pin fits in a groove. I also had to file some on the back end on the old key where it fits into the remote. I used the paper back from matches to wedge the key at an angle so i could tap the pin out. For the last step I used my wife’s key inserted in the ignition without starting it turned it on removed it and inserted the new one did the same removed he key and reinserted it and started it.
The Headster! HOOAH!!! –
I bought these because my old remotes button covers disintegrated on both remotes. Getting the programmed board out of the old ones was the tricky part. I was successful with one thankfully as you have to cut the factory ones apart (these open nicely). I ruined one board with my oscillating tool. No problem. I installed my old key in the new one with the old board I didn’t ruin. The trick is making sure the push button pokes through the hole and then turn the cover to engage the spring with it and twist it until the key pops out when you press the button. I always twisted it wrong the first try. When good, snap shut. Then I installed my other old key in the second one with the virgin board. I insured the one with my factory board remote operated correctly, then inserted it in the ignition and turned it to on, then off and then inserted the unprogrammed remote with my other cut key, turned it on and then off (Don’t start, just turn to on and off) and voila, two functioning new remotes. Hopefully I didn’t detail the steps too convoluted. LOL I know what I meant.

cheaply made. Every time I crank my car, it breaks in half. Wish I would have just spent the extra through the dealership. Auto start also not working with the key fobs. You have to press the lock and unlock button about 10 times before it will actually work
