Hank Nerger –
It didn’t look like the one I removed. But it fit perfectly. Super smooth.

Car is 2003 530i with over 240K miles, and the driver’s regulator went. This product is strong right in the places where strength is needed. I went cheapest, and got only 6-months before failure. I went medium-low price, and got 9 months. I then noticed the failure points, looked at URO’s design at these points, and the light dawned. The passenger’s side just went, and it was easy to go with URO. (Yes, I am a little embarrassed as a 3-degrees Engineer.) You get what you pay for on regulators.

Overall seems well made. I had a professional install the item. Works for opening and closing the window. Only negative is that it does not close flush as with the prior BMW regulator. It leaves a 1/4 inch of glass showing.
Also, box was not sealed shut so it could have opened up. Should have taped it shut before sending out.
Photos show old unit, item in box/only paperwork (no instructions). Last photo shows the glass proud.
Will see how it holds up. The installer recommended this item and said it was well made.

Only lasted 2 months.

Great part, better design than OEM. Fits my BMW 530i. Easy to install if you’ve done it a few times like I have. Just need to know the nuance of folding it up in the right spots and slide into the window frame.
So far so good, this part looks like it’ll last a while.
Tip: Sharpie on the window glass where the old part clamps to it, will help alignment better when reinstalling.

I bought for my BMW 530i a NAPA window regulator. It was real flimsy and I returned before I installed it. I was sure that this gizmo would fail soon. I am a Aircraft engineer and we upgraded Jet Turbines. By unpackig the Amazon Prime URO regulator which I ordered I saw that this was a heavy duty part. Pay a few bucks more and you can see that this is a very good investment. There is no substitute for quality. Best regards Hank Nerger

Worth your money!! I’ve tried the cheap ones and they fail. The clear sealer you see in my video isn’t required for mount area. It’s sealer left over from previous window regulator. I used it because the old POS needed it as the window would slip out of the bracket.

This is the one to get. It fits perfectly and is a breeze to install. I needed to replace the front left window reg for my ’03 525i. I tried regulators from two different manufacturers. With both units, you couldn’t physically attach them to the mounts at the bottom of the door. You couldn’t remove or back the bolts out which wouldn’t allow you to attach the unit to the bottom mounts.
