I installed it 12/16/22 by professional mechanic it’s seems it fix the issue with the valve I will drive it the car for few weeks and will come back to make a recommendation

By no means was this a “hard job”. But with that said, if you’re good with your hands and have some basic knowledge of auto repair, you should be fine. LIke I stated above it wasn’t “hard” to install, but VEEEERRY time consuming and tedious. Definitely needed to follow a youtube DIY video, but still doable! With all that being said the part held up so far (it’s been 2 months). No more leaks, vehicle runs well. I’m satisfied!

I was considering to withhold one star, but I decided it’s not too important. Just watch the bolts. The original bolts require E10 (star) socket but in this URO one only inner bolts were E10 and for the rest I had to use E12 socket. The thread and diameter are fine, it’s just the head sizes are off. At the end I used E12 for all of them because the 8.5Nm low torque is permitting this, but in general it isn’t cool. Other than this – a very good product and fixed the issue I had on 155K miles with a whistling sound. The whole replacement job could be tedious, but I already took the cover off twice – once for the leaking gasket and 2nd time for the Valvetronic. At this point – it’s pretty straightforward 🙂

My wife pulled into the garage and I could hear the squeal or whistle come from air being sucked in through the rear main seal of our 2011 BMW 535i After doing my research the pcv valve needed to be changed but it is part of the valve cover. I ordered the valve cover and it came in three days. I installed the valve cover and it fixed the squeal and an oil leak that I noticed after removing the old valve cover. My pcv valve must have been going out for a couple of years because it was idling rough from time to time or at a stop lights ect. Now the car is always smoothy idling and runs great.

This valve cover is being advertised as metal and the reason I purchased it. Unfortunately this had been handed off to the mechanics to install prior to inspection as I had mistakenly assumed I could count on it being the item that was advertised. It was installed and found out later it was plastic. The item is STILL being advertised as being made of metal and that’s false advertising. I couldn’t get refunded or discounted after the fact which is what seller is counting on and AMAZON should be policing their sellers to verify that they are selling what they are advertising as it’s a bait and switch item. Customers cannot have faith that what’s being advertised is what is being delivered which next time I would advise to shop elsewhere where they can have confidence in their purchases.

This is the only valve cover I’ve ever replaced for which the first step reads, “Remove windshield wipers.” This applies to a 2011 X5, so other models that use the N55 engine may be different. The center firewall diagonal brace attachment needs to come off to make clearance to remove the valve cover, and the wipers and windshield bottom trim come off to remove said brace attachment. Lots of cables and vacuum lines to move, take pictures to keep track. If you’re anywhere close to needing new plugs and coils, do it now while there is access. Not a bad job, just lots of details.
