I use my car regularly and needed a phone mount that was easy to use. I didn’t want anything with adhesive and the vent ones don’t work. I didn’t want to occupy my cup holders so this one seemed perfect! The phone was at a level that was perfect for me to see while driving. I purchased this item in August of 2024, two weeks ago (mid January 2025) it completely broke off and I can’t use it. Prior to this it would fall off while I’m driving on the highway when I hit a pothole (even the smaller ones), luckily most times this happened the holder and my phone didn’t fall on my side. However, the one time it did I was lucky enough to have my son in the car and he was able to get the phone and holder from my side while I was driving.

I’ve gone through about half a dozen phone holders in the last few years. This one is the best I’ve found. I loved my original one until I broke it due to my own clumsiness. The new one has performed flawlessly. The designers did a great job of making it fit perfect to the trim of the dash.

This was definitely the right choice of phone holder to work with our specific vehicle. If you’re looking for a custom fit holder that works with most any size phone, in nearly any size case for your Toyota RAV4 (ours is 2016), this is the one to choose. I did my usual process to narrow down what items were available on Amazon, and read the reviews thoroughly. When I finally decided, this was the item, and I’m glad I selected the perfect way to safely support and use my phone carefully while driving. I really like how easily it installed, and the included tool made it a literal snap. I was worried that I would have to remove the dash cover, but all I had to do was lift it a bit, and the clip snapped in easily and securely. I just popped the arm on the holster, and slid it into the clip slot. Locks in place nicely, too. I am so impressed that the smooth function of the inner workings is made of metal and holds the phone securely in place. There is no rattle or vibration when the car is moving, with the phone in place or not. I can now us my phone for music or maps, as well as cautiously answer calls and text with just one finger or my voice, while keeping my eyes on the road. Get this, without hesitation. Thank you!

Loved this product when it was purchased, as I the installation was easy and was exactly what I was looking for. I had an iPhone 6 with and Otterbox Defender case. However, I now have a new iPhone XR and new Otterbox Defender case and the magnet isn’t strong enough to hold this setup. I didn’t think it would be a problem since the product description states the iPhone XR, but it’s a problem.
Product is well made and does what it’s supposed to do as long as you don’t have a heavy phone case. I had a cheaper case on this until the Defender showed up and it worked OK. But as soon as I put my preferred case on the phone, it was no longer able to stay attached to the magnet.
Trying to find something now that will work with this mount as I love the mount and how it attaches to the car.

This is a good little phone holder. I was worried about the quality because the arms feel a little flimsy, but once the phone is slid in place they’re very secure. Initially I planned on putting a magnet on it for more security but that hasn’t been necessary. The holder and the phone stay put, and my phone hasn’t gone flying on a hard turn or bumpy road once, as with most others I’ve used in the past in a different car. I found it a little tricky to use the mini crow bar it comes with simply because I over-worry about scratching things, but once I found the sweet spot it was super easy to install. This is the only holder I’ve found that fits in this vehicle and sits in a high enough spot that you can glance at it when need be and not have to take your eyes totally off the road. Overall I like this product and should it get worn out, like most of these small plastic products eventually do, I’ll definitely get another. The only thing I really dislike is that it won’t fit if I have a pop socket or ring on my phone case, but that’s not a big deal, I just position them higher up so the phone can sit flat.

I own a Rav4 2018.
The family and I agreed that adding a navigation system to the car was unnecessary and redundant since we have smartphones.
We then embarked on a multiple years-long odyssey of trying to find a dashboard mount that worked on the gently curving dashboard of our car.
The sticky ones didn’t work, the magnet ones couldn’t adhere to the curve, and the one stuck on the windshield was too distracting.
Then I ordered the BeHave Universal Car Phone Holder.
PERFECT.
One doesn’t need to remove the dashboard bar piece to install the holder. I slid the holder above the dashboard element, applied some pressure, and it snapped into place.
It has been in service for four months with no signs of wear.
I am happy with its performance.

Once installed, I realized the part that cradles the phone is the best part. The weight from your phone will push down on the bottom ledge, which in turn forces the sides inward to meet the edge of your phone. This securely holds it in place and then you can rotate it or angle it towards you how you please. Lift the phone up, and the bottom raises a little and then the sides push back out. It fits my Google Pixel 3XL with a case great, and also fits my boyfriend’s iPhone 11 Pro with case.
