I used to install car stereos and alarm systems many decades ago. And these 12V solenoids were very useful for adding convenient door locking, hood locking, and adding trunk unlocking for cars without electrical switches to pop the trunk.
These look as good as the kits I installed over 25 years ago. They come with hardware to attach to existing manual door lock levers. And they are DC and operate by reversing polarity. I like to have these on hand whenever a project may require linear movement. Recommended!

I ordered these door lock actuators to update a mid 70’s sport car that I am restoring. I am still in the mock up stage and did test them with my power supply. They do have plenty of power in both directions to move the door locks. There weren’t any instructions, recommendations or example installs in the package so it seems that I am on my own on how I set it up for my doors. I know this is a hot rod thing and I can come up with a solution but a sheet of basic instructions would be a nice place to start.
