ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT THE EXACT FIT ,IT WORKED , IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM OF THE ERRATIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER…BUT….AFTER FOUR MONTHS THE PROBLEM RETURNED , THE BUILT IN REGULATOR WENT BAD FORCING PURCHASE OF ANOTHER ALTERNATOR…..NO CHOICE , PAST RETURN DATE.

2005 impala 3.8L. Bolts line up fine, positive terminal is fine, the 2 wire plug has been moved to the top on this alternator from the side on the original. Had to re-route the wiring harness otherwise the wires would be pulling down at a 180 degree bend.

worked, but was not an exact fit for 2005 impala 3.4 L one of the rear mount bolt holes was too thick. I needed a bolt that was 1/2″ longer luckily I am a mechanic and save all hardware and found a bolt in my bin that fit.
