I got this for a dropped window in the back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It fixed it just as expected. The reason I knock it a star is that the main support for the window is made of plastic instead of the metal that the stock one is made of. Hopefully it will prove to be just as durable. Only time will tell.
Update: about a week or two after install it seems the motor is getting slow to go back up. It hasn’t stopped, but in a window race against the other three, this one loses by probably two seconds. If it stops all together, I’ll update this review again. I’m still leaving it at 4-stars due to the low price and the fact that I can live with the “laziness” of that window. I rarely let it down anyway.

Easy to install took me 5 minutes in my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they work excellently I don’t know why some people complain that they move too slow if it moved faster they break if it moves at this rate there perfect it goes up and down it does what it’s supposed to do thank you guys

Not happy, thought I was getting another good value from TYC but the cable popped on the second use. Had to buy another without the motor and swap it out.

This item was the perfect replacement unit. I had never done an installation of this type before, but with the help of YouTube it was a success. All bolts and screws transferred from the original unit to this one with no issues. The actual lifter piece is plastic instead of the original metal, but it looks like it is more than rugged enough to do the job. The original was plastic where the cable attached, which is where it failed. I am a very satisfied customer.

Works properly, runs a little slower than I expected… Does not include all hardware as stated- have some 1″ x 1/4-20 with washers ready to mount the frame of the regulator to the door if you do not have the old ones (I did not as it was missing when I bought the WJ). The bolts to mount the motor to the door are included. Over- all a good value at half the cost of one from local auto parts stores though. Installation was less than 15mins for me.

This unit runs a little slower than a Dorman unit — I know because I replaced the passenger rear regulator with a Dorman unit. It might also be a bit noisier. But, given the price, this might be the better value. It all depends on how long it lasts. For now, I have no real complaints. The price offsets the lesser performance. And, it works just fine. It fit my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee perfectly in every way. It required that I reuse all the original fasteners. But, that’s a good thing — keeps the price down & creates less waste.
If you want slightly better performance at a slightly higher price, consider a Dorman unit:

The title of the review says it all… only time will tell whether or not the window regulator will last.
I just came back to review my order because now I need to purchase a regulator for my front passenger side window…and am so satisfied with previous purchase that I am going to buy another for the front. What is strange is that when I come back to my previous order via my Amazon Order History, I get an error message on the web page that says “this does not fit your 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee”. Actually, it fit my ’99 Jeep Grand Cherokee perfectly.

Shipped a couple days early. Fit my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo perfectly. Not too hard to install. Window goes up and down like a charm now. This saved me a lot of money, too. Thanks!
