I am an auto body tech, so installing the regulator was easy for me. Remove the door panel. The inside door handle is tricky; you need to the screw that is under the little square cover, then pry the surround off the upper and lower pins, then slide it forward. Then take off the steel plate held in with 3 screws, then the vapor barrier. (That’s the plastic sheet). Now connect the window switch and lower the window till the 2 screws that hold the glass to the regulator are visible through the holes in the door shell. Remove the screws, then lift the glass out. Unplug the wire to the regulator and remove the screws that hold the regulator to the door shell. Swap the regulators, replace the glass. At this point, plug it in and plug in the widow switch. Run it up and down a few times. When you’re sure it’s working, put the rest back together. Done! I’m giving 4 stars for installation only because removing/installing the handle is tricky, but the regulator is excellent.

Do not waste your’re time or money on this part complete garbage worked for 5 days and fell apart . now my window is back to where i started does not go up or down because the rivets holding everything together come apart , the motor still works but alot of good that does when the trac fell apart.. again WARNING DO NOT WASTE YOU’RE MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE.

While the connecting arms are designed differently and weaker than the factory set up it does work and motor quality was great.

The part fit like an OEM part. The hooks were there and everything lined up perfectly. As other posters have stated, watch a youtube video and wear gloves. The only issue was my window was stuck on the down position and I couldn’t move it up. As a result I couldn’t reach one of the window screws. If you have this problem, take out the speaker on the bottom and disconnect the speaker wire. You can reach around and work the bolt a little easier. Use a 10mm and break it loose and slowly turn it. I also found a magnet stick was helpful. Car is a 2000 toyota camry LE 2.2L

The product was not the same as the one shown in the picture! When installed and the window raised, it left open gaps between the window and the window frame! Product was of poor quality and flimsy! Do not waste your money on this as you will be very disappointed!

this is what I needed it was easy to install but how ever every one who does this type of installation must wear GLOVE’S because this item is very very sharp and it can cause serious cut to your hand and fingers.
But all in all this item fit our 1997 camry xle perfectly. UPDATE!!!!!!!! ok I know some people are saying its flimsy and it seems not to work but you should make sure that the whole assembly is what you need and too see if it is what you need is just the motor or the whole assembly you need to take off you door panel and you should see the glide track then you should reach in where the track teeth are and you should feel the teeth if they feel rounded off then you need the whole assembly.
There are YOU TUBE VIDEOS ON HOW TO REPLACE THE WINDOW ASSEMBLY !! this was how I learned how to do mine!!

My driver side power window stopped working, the mechanic wanted $350 to install a new window regulator and the motor. I bought this whole assembly and installed it myself by watching a youtube video. I have never even replaced a car tire before. I was able to figure it out using a youtube video that showed how to replace a power window assembly for toyota cmary 2001. It fit perfectly well. It works better and faster than my other old factory power windows. Just make sure you have 10mm socket wrench, a long Philips screw driver and painter’s tape to hold the glass in place when you are replacing the assembly. And one last thing it only took me an hour and half to get it done and like I said I have never done a single car repair in my life. If you want to save money like me you cannot go wrong with this product.
