Works on my Jeep Wrangler

My 2000 Cherokee sometimes just wouldn’t start, even with a new battery. The problem was the starter/solenoid was dying. The replacement starter&solenoid solved the problem. It fit perfectly and now the Jeep starts instantly. The starter came with no instructions, but installation was straight forward. 2 bolts and 2 wires. A YouTube video, of which there are several, helps. One big pice of advice: steam clean the old starter before removing. It’ll make the job a lot easier and cleaner.

perfect replacement for the original starter on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport XJ after 155k miles. Nearly half the price of all the local parts stores. Bolted right in. Has been working flawlessly for a week now. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the electrical plugin and bolt-on wire and flip flopped on this starter from the original. The original had the bolt-on wire on the bottom of the starter (when installed) and the plugin wire was above it. This made removal of the nut very easy. The replacment starter has the bolt-on wire above the plug-in wire when installed which is makes it more difficult to access the bolt with the nut in a tight space. Not a big deal, but was a minor inconvenience on the install of the new starter. If I had to do it again I’d attach all the wires BEFORE attaching the starter to the bellhousing.

This starter worked out just fine, fit well, and everyting!

This was a safety purchase to have a spare starter available on a high-mileage Jeep Cherokee. And, true to form, the OEM starter failed a month later. This is an easy install, has the higher of two power ratings available and is working perfectly. It also has a lifetime warranty though it difficult to get warranty information from the Amazon ad text. For the low price, I can justify buying another in 3-5 yrs IF the Jeep is still on the road. Lowers my maintenance cost on a second/school/work vehicle.

Worked great for a few weeks, but now the solenoid is going out.

Installed this on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Pretty self explanatory, disconnect negative cable on battery, ultimately remove 2 wires, and 2 bolts, remove bad starter, put this in, install 2 bolts, connect the plug and screw on the positive wire, reconnect negative on battery terminal. Done. Took me about 45 minutes to an hour, I wasn’t trying to set a record with this install. A few basic tools can get this job done, youtube shows exactly what to do. I mention all of this in the product review because it’s relevant to the ease of install on this perfectly performing starter. My jeep now starts with purpose. Starter works perfectly. My only issue is I read in the question/answer area that it comes with a lifetime warranty, and I see nothing on the box or included paperwork to support that claim.
I will update this review if any issues arise with this starter.

Good price, was unsure how good this brand was but 4 years later it is still working great! Highly recommend!

I’ve only had my starter installed for about a month so it might be too early to tell, but it looked brand new right out of the box, installed easily, and so far has worked every time. And… I didn’t have to ship a core back to them.

Works. Easy install. Didn’t solve my problem, but eliminated one possibility.
