I waited a bit to leave a review, wanted to see if the other reviewer was telling the truth.. The part about if they maintained pressure when cold outside. Had a bitter cold snap (-10 degrees) here and these lift supports DID not lose any force during the cold snap! Yes that other reviewer was correct. These are also black shafts not chrome, they look like the original factory unit. The originals died around 9 years old but didn’t realize it til my friend hit their head on the hatch! What we get used to.. When installing, you take a flat heat screw driver and pull the clip out completely, then the old unit just slides off the pivots. Installing the new ones, they did have grease already installed in the pivot cup but I put some multipurpose grease on the pivot balls. Anyway, when installing you do not do anything but push the new ones on, they will clip onto the pivots and you’re done! 10 min job including both sides! The quality is definitely OEM level, not junk at all. They were made in turkey, guess China has some new competition! Price was perfect, for two of these is less than what Nissan wants for ONE! crazy.. this is more of a fair price.

Tired of hitting my head on the liftgate. These work great. Full lift and no head bumps

The struts work great. I didn’t realize just how bad the old ones had gotten. Excellent service as well. I received them fast!. Thanks.

Fits perfectly well even in an old car like a 2008 nissan rogue. It took me less than 5 minutes to install the pair of struts.

The lift gate on my Nissan Rogue wouldn’t stay open in cold weather, but these new supports cured the problem and now lift gate easier to open and stays up!

My rear hatch was a little misaligned and I could tell because each time I opened or closed the hatch it kind of “ground” against the body. I realized that the most likely cause were the struts or the hinges because if I held the hatch to one side a bit to guide it the noise would not happen. Given that my SUV had no body damage to warp the hatch or opening it came down to two items, the hinges or struts. I tackled the struts because they were the most logical cause and once I replaced them the issue was fixed and OEM easy opening and closing in all temperatures was restored. Removing the struts is easy using a screw driver to carefully pop off the retaining clips. The replacements snap down and in place. Total time for both sides was about 5 minutes, perhaps 10 if you really take your time. PRO TIPS: Use something to protect the paint when you pry the retaining clips off the old struts. Also use something like a rubber mallet or rubber/plastic coated tool handle if you want to hammer the strut end in place and do not hit too hard to avoid damage
