Loose wiring
Loose wires also –
I’ve only had it for a couple weeks but I installed it on my truck right away.. my four-wheel drive went out on my 2010 f150 XLT it was showing the monkey wrench on the dashboard I watch some YouTube videos about it it showed to replace this from the truck with a new one so I chose this one yeah I’m going to upgrade to OEM which is way more expensive towards the summertime, but to get me through the winter or two I think this one’s a bargain WATCH YouTube instructions carefully!! I also suggest disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery when changing this part, leaving the battery disconnected 20mins resets the brain box on the truck so basically if it forgets that it had a bad shifting unit

The electrical connector on the new one had a broken locking clip where the blue wire goes. Had to take all the pins out and reuse the original connector. Added a few minutes. After I installed it, everything worked as advertised, with the 4wd shifting from 2wd to 4wd high and to 4wd low and back with no problems. I operate that system almost every time I drive the truck now, just so I don’t have to worry about it not working next time I really need it.

I think every one covered the facts. It was an easy install if you understand the lone wire needs to be transferred to the wiring harness on the new transfer motor (watch you tube videos). The wiring is much shorter than oem but it still works.
Before the repair all I got was the gear wrench with check 4X4 when I tried to switch into 4X4. After the replacement it sifts butter smooth into and out of 4X4.
I can’t say if the longevity is good but time will time.

Easy installation and seems to be well built. Engaged and disengaged smoothly with no issues at all. Time will tell how long it will last but worth the price definitely

2011 F150 FX4 5.0
Fitment is exactly like OEM.
Installation is extremely easy 4 bolts all 10 mm.
So if you are here let’s talk about it because I’ll tell you after going through this problem methodically first thing I replaced was the Vacuum Solenoid still had issues, second thing I checked out was all my vacuum lines and yeah they were bad so I replaced them, and the third thing I replaced was this. My 4×4 is now working exactly how it should I am not longer fighting my switch to get it in 4×4 mode.
Quality seems well made and for the cash $$ value I will highly recommend it.

Worked like a charm on my 2009 F150. My truck would no longer shift into 4×4. After checking everything else I was pretty sure the motor was the problem. Bought this one and put it on last night. Just FYI the cable colors are not the same as the OEM motor. I was little concerned so I tracked all the wires coming out of the motor to the pin connection in the plug to confirm it was likely right. The entire length of the wires are a decent bit shorter than OEM, but it was not at all a issue. Took about 1 1/2 hours to install. Now hopefully I’ll remember to engage 4×4 every few weeks so the motor doesn’t just set and eventually seize up.
