Feels like decent enough Chinese plastic, easy install apart from the firewall gromet. Just getting the gromet to pop in takes longer than the rest of the work. If you get tired of struggling with the gromet like I did, cut it open parallel to the cable, take a slice out of it to narrow the diameter, fill it with your favorite flavor of RTV, and press it in from the engine bay side. Well worth the price to not have a dangling hood release in the cab anymore, hood opens nice and easy now.
