Basically, my 2024 GMC Sierra has such a tight fit where the battery cable attaches one of the batteries, I needed the disconnect to go vertical rather than horizontal like most do. This one is versatile in that the angle can be changed though I simply need straight up.
The only con with this product is that in “disconnect” mode with the knob loosened, the cable can still move and make contact (see pictures). Since disconnect is unlikely to be needed when the vehicle is in motion, the “risk” is low. I may be able to “glue” the plastic in place to prevent it from rotating and making contact.

Wouldn’t fit my standard 17mm post, tried to stretch the opening and the brass look pot metal just broke. Junk unless you have very narrow battery posts

The product description makes no sense, and there are no included instructions. Never-the-less, this should work as intended. I thought perhaps the insulator inside the ring should be removed, but it needs to stay to center the ring. The connection is through the part you screw on- the “gas hose connector” in the product description. They also say “can be installed without tools” which of course is just nonsense. You can take off the knob and pull the cable, or just reverse the knob and screw it back on to keep the cable from flopping around-there won’t be any electrical connection with the knob reversed. Actually pretty well designed, just sold by someone without a clue regarding the product or the English language.
