There are not too many things that can go wrong with a cabin air filter. Seriously, if it fits and can be installed, it is locked in out of sight for about another year.
About the best thing I can say about this cabin air filter is that it fits. It appears to be well constructed. But, I do not check my cabin air filter except to change it out every year. I suppose if I suddenly got a weird smell inside of my car, I would access this filter and take a look at it. Other than that it’s kind of a plug and play type of an item, except it is totally passive.
If something untoward should happen, I will return to amend my review. Other than that, it fits and it’s installed!

I was happy to see that the sides of the filter are rigid. I installed a brand name orange filter from the auto parts store last time and it collapsed up like an according. This one can’t do that. In my car you insert it on the long side, not sure how it works on other cars. I appreciate that they built it sturdy. With my previous filter I couldn’t tell if it was in there correctly or if it collapsed up like an accordion. With this filter, I can tell it didn’t collapse. I can’t tell if it is filtering more or less than the last filter.

I was browsing Amazon and saw the Femota cabin air filter. It is a 4-layer filter with an activated carbon layer and a MERV 13 filtration layer. It was priced right, so I ordered it.
The item arrived in a few days and was undamaged. The factory package is a colorful branded cardboard box suitable for gift-giving. Inside the box, the filter is wrapped in a sealed plastic bag, and there is a test report from TTRI (Taiwan Textile Research Institute).
The Femota filter has a fairly rigid cardboard frame. It has the same dimensions as the OEM filter currently installed in the car. Thinking back, I had a bit of trouble installing that one because its frame was not as rigid as the Femota filter’s frame, which helps ensure proper installation. Unfortunately, I don’t have any test equipment, so I can’t comment on airflow and filtration. So I will have to defer to the test data from the included TTRI report for that.
This appears to be a quality cabin air filter and a great value at the current price point.

Filter works really good. It’s my second time buying them. Easy to change out

I’ve tried various Cabin Air Filters for my car, including both “Brand Name” & “Off Brand” models, and I must say this “Off Brand” filter appears to be extremely well-constructed with thick(er) material and substantial weight as compared to some “Name Brand” filters I’ve used. This is a MERV-13 filter for those wondering.
I’ve reserved the 5th Star for when I’ve used the filter for a while, at which point I expect to return to add that last star after confirming the filter is doing its job. Meanwhile, based on the design, construction, and excellent price point, this cabin air filter is an outstanding value!

This cabin air filter is a great upgrade for my 2007 Corvette. The four-layer design, including MERV 13 filtration and activated carbon, does an excellent job of keeping the air fresh and from smelling like…well old car, dog, ‘oops I left that in the car’…just about anything.. Installation was straightforward, matching the OEM size perfectly, and the airflow direction markings made it simple to get right. The filter feels well-made and delivers noticeable improvement in air quality inside the car. Overall, it’s a high-quality replacement that’s worth the investment for better filtration and comfort. I’m upgrading all of my cars filters to carbon activated ones now.
