Got this for a friend’s 2024 Model Y. Seems to fit and easy to install, no complaints from him.
Hard to gauge air filtration ability, not planning to drive through wildfires to find out. But given the relatively low price tag, we will take this any day over pricier OEM alternatives and replace them more often.

Excellent value for 2 pack of HEPA filters.
I like charcoal layer (carbon filer), which will absorb orders.
Installation was straight forward as any filters out there, so no big deal.
I replaced filters on my son’s Model Y, and it seems to be working fine – no bad orders or allegens.

The original one is too expensive, this one is a lot cheaper and with the same HEPA filter. It is very easy to install. Quality is almost as good as the original one, but with a more friendly price tag.

Learning to replace the cabin air filter in this type of car is very useful, and it’s an easy DIY task. I immediately noticed a difference—it effectively freshens the air. Compared to the stock filter, this one seems more permeable.

I received this through Vine but my review is genuine and related my personal experience.
I always think the engineer at Tesla who came up with the design of the cabin air filter system was either not very good at their job, or is evil and likes to make people suffer, or else just didn’t think it through. But replacing the cabin air filter on my 2018 Model 3 is one of the few maintenance tasks on a Model 3 and it’s not as easy as it could be. Or I guess I should be grateful that refilling the windshield washing fluid doesn’t involve removing the front bumper.
This particular filter is well made and feels solid. The honeycomb – which goes in the “back” or facing the driver, when you install – is filled with what look like carbon pellets. It comes with an angled T20 torx wrench which is handy if you don’t have one or – as in my case – you have one but just can’t find it. I used the one that was in the package.
The one bit of negative feedback for the manufacturer is that there were zero instructions – not even a note saying “check YouTube for installation instructions”. Literally no paperwork at all – even on the box. But I’ve had my Model 3 for seven years and this was not my first time on the air filter replacement, so I looked up a video on YouTube to refresh my memory, took off the side paneling with the included tool and then removed the cover above also using the orange tool, and then laid on my back and removed the filter cover with the included metal T20 torx, pulled out the old ones using the ribbons and put the new ones in and put everything back together.
The filters seem to be working well – there’s no weird odors and everything seems to be working fine. I’ll buy this brand the next time I need to do this next year.
My notes for anyone who wants to replace the filters:
1. Install them with the white side facing the front – honeycomb black side facing the back of the car.
2. Stack them and make sure the white ribbons are on the top near your fingers as you put them in – you need the ribbon when you want to take them out. So make sure you can reach them because removing the bottom one without the ribbon is super annoying (you only make the mistake of putting the ribbon on the far side once.. hopefully)
3. write down some note or add a note to your calendar so you remember when you did this because it’s hard to remember later one.
Overall, a solid filter. Recommended. It’d just be nice to have some guidance paperwork on installation.
