The black and white washers are so you can easily differentiate the left (driver’s side) and the right (passenger side). You can’t see the washers once installed. All looks pretty much OEM but the inner cable itself, which seems thinner diameter. Overall, the outer cable diameter, including flexible plastic sheathing, is the same diameter (average 5.61mm or 0.22 inch) as OEM, but OEM has thinner flexible plastic sheathing (the steel cable can more easily be felt and seen through it) and thus, I think, thicker steel cable. The heat shrink tubing on one of the straps that I received arrived nicked, exposing the metal underneath. These work, and I think will last, so no star deductions.

These tailgate support cables fit my 2012 Toyota Tundra perfectly. My old ones had been beat up from work over the years and it took less than 5 minutes to replace them with these Beatior Tech ones. They seem just as strong and look the same as the old ones, same length, same attachments, same protective wrap around the cable, so hoping they last as long.
