Seem to fit well and equal lengths so that both are supporting tailgate. My OEM cables did not do this. So I do not know if the new ones account for this problem or the OEM were different lengths. Also when GM did recall on cables the new cables had to be filed or ground on ends to make them swivel with tailgate, these fit without needing to do anything to them extra.

The cables are easy to change. Good quality. I replaced both the cables and hinges at the same time. Everything lined correct, and both cabled had same tension. Back to like new.

These cables seem to be high quality so I went to install them on my tailgate. The install went smooth up until the very end when I went to connect the cables to the bed. The cables are different lengths! The one cable is taught and the other has significant slack in it. The mounting points measure to be the same distance apart.
Now I’ll have to take both of them off and replace them again. Huge waste of time.

Visually, they look identical, but once installed, one is longer than the other, and has slack. I tried swapping them around to no avail.
The second pair from a different manufacturer that has done this.

Installed these for 2004 Silverado 2500hd. Took a matter of minutes to install. Looks great and is just as good as GM OEM products at a whole lot less in cost.
