I don’t know how long they’re supposed to last but these lasted for 3 years. One thing to consider is the extreme heat from the engine the struts are exposed to.

Had an old trashed set of C16-24615 30lb struts on the rear vertical swing doors of my utility truck cap. These C16-08568 20lb worked perfect for replacement. There is a 30lb set as well C16-09786.
I choose the 20lb because I felt that 30 was to much stress on my hinges. Perfectly happy with these 20lb.
