I like this stuff very much. When my rags are especially dirty I give them a long pre-soak in this before squeezing them out and washing with it. I tried a Chem Guys product and find Micro-Restore much more effective.
I have just purchased the gallon elsewhere at a better price, in part because I could get a discount for July 4.
The only negative about this product is a faintly unpleasant smell. It contains no perfumes of course.
Note: there is some disagreement regarding water temperature to use. You should use warm or hot water (hot < 140F). HOWEVER, dry at delicate or no heat. I find warmish-hot to help in the cleaning.
Life is Good –
I bought this product several months but, honestly, had little hope. I have microfiber rags (Costco yellow and orange) which are so dirty from car washing (tires) and outdoor window and sliding door cleaning (along those really dirty rails) that I didn’t think anything would work. I was wrong. I just finished a big load of these rags and, with the exception of about 4-5 out of ~40, every single one is so much improved! ??!! The 4-5 rags which still have stains started the wash so heavily soiled and stained that I considered throwing them in the trash. Although stained, they “look clean.” They will definitely be used on the dirtiest tasks around the house. Put my white cotton kitchen towels in last night hoping mystery black spots and smudges which don’t wash out, even with bleach, would disappear, and they did!! This product is worth its weight in gold. Just follow the directions. Oh, I soaked the micro-fiber rags overnight and then washed with additional microfiber concentrate and laundry detergent in the washer. Spotless for nearly all!!

Works great! It keeps my microfiber cloths soft and “micro-fibery”. It also works great on my chamois drying towel (this detergent was made for them too). If your cloths/towels get very dirty or soiled, it’s best to let them soak overnight – not even 2-3 hour soaking will do the trick, for me any way. But that was my fault for getting tire stains on my microfiber cloth = not good.
The bottle itself is ingenius, it has two openings, you open one side and squeeze out an ounce of the detergent into a premeasured ‘section’ of the bottle. Think of an apple juice bottle – that’s how it squeezes out, there’s actually a “straw” in the bottle itself. When you have one ounce, tilt the bottle over and pour it in the washer.
This is a great product and I’d recommend it especially if you’ve invested in a good set of microfiber cloths.

This stuff is amazing. A car detail guru friend of mine recommended it and I can see why. I had about 20 microfiber towels with various fluids or waxes on each. Such as interior detailing spray, window cleaner, wax residue, leather cleaner, etc. I put an ounce or this in a 5 gallon bucket filled with warm water and within 5 minutes, the water turned to a disgusting brownish grey color. I let them sit for about 20 mins then out them in the washer with another ounce and they all came out brand new! If you have a bunch of microfiber towels, wait until you are out to wash them because a little bit of this soap goes a long way. I don’t expect to have to replace this for at least 3 years.

I purchased rather expensive “blue” microfiber waffle weave drying cloths for my car. I use them along with my California Water Blade to clear water off my car. Over time they would no longer absorb water. I tried washing them in the washer using regular detergent. I never used dryer sheets. Nevertheless they lost their ability to pickup water. I did some research and found this product mentioned as being good for microfiber fabrics. I tried it and I was amazed how much dirt came out of the fabric. I let them hang dry instead of using the dryer. I was very pleased that the product does work and my drying cloths can once again absorb water easily. I would give the product a Five rating except I have only used the product one time. To be fair, nothing will dry a car completely if the metal is really cold.

Purchased this after being disappointed by another brand. For a while I’ve been using regular detergent to clean my towels, however this never really removed wax or sealants and I’d end up with cross contamination with my glass towels, drying towels, and others.
I use this with cold water, on an extended heavy cycle in my washer. I also configure it to allow a 30 min soak period for the load. I have only ever used 2 or 3 oz depending on how large the load is. I typically dispense the detergent first and then load the towels.
First load with this I immediately removed a glass towel and went to my car to clean a window. I won’t say that this year-old towel is as good as new, but it’s working as you’d expect a clean towel to work. Previously I’d have streaks and lint left over even from a “cleaned” towel. No streaks and no residue left over, just clean glass. Switched and cleaned my glasses, same thing.
Over all I’m pleased with the purchase. Once I run out of the smaller bottle I’ll buy a gallon to refill this easy dispense bottle.
