My process for cleaning is simple: I wet the wheels and tires first, then spray the cleaner on generously. Immediately I use a tire brush to scrub away the grime and wipe the wheels with a micro-fiber towel. Rinse off after and your done!

This product works similarly to other tire and rim cleaners. It leaves my rims especially sparkly clean. It did require some significant elbow grease to get the dirt off, but the end result was nice. As others have noted, make sure to rinse thoroughly and then rinse again for good measure as any residue left on the wheels turns white. It is a little spendy so hopefully a lower price can be offered as I can buy a similar tire cleaner at a discount store for much less.

I’ve tried a lot of wheel brake dust cleaning products and have continuously looked for one that really takes off the brake dust by just spraying on and rinsing off. I had high hopes about this product. I tried it out on my son’s car which, though it didn’t have caked on brake dust, did have quite a bit of brake dust. We rinsed off the wheels using a pressure washer, then applied a liberal amount of the product and let it sit for a few minutes. We then rinsed it off with the pressure washer and there was still a film of brake dust. Granted, if you use a sponge, wheel brush/rod, etc., you will get the brake film off, but that was a step I was hoping would be eliminated. So my search resumes for a product that you can spray on a wheel and just rinse off brake dust. Until such a product comes along, I can do just as well with the shampoo dispensed from my foam cannon and hand wash it off.
