It is indeed a Subaru OEM part. The installation is easy as well, fits perfectly. Had a little bit of a scare since the filter I pulled out which was the factory installed filter the car came with had a different part number. But looking up on oem/dealer websites indicate the the factory installed filter part is no longer available and this is the alternative. We did put it side by side and eyeballed the dimensions to be the same. Quick shipping as well, arrived ahead of estimated time. Could do with some sort of a discount to make it lucrative to order it off of Amazon rather than going to the nearest dealer to get it.
The only major gripe I had was the there was no extra packaging over the box the filter comes in. The box did seem to endure some disfiguration due to shipping but the filter itself didn’t seem to be damaged.

Is an original Subaru OEM filter. Correct fit and model.

It’s an air filter and as I’ve had no engine problems I can only assume it’s doing what it needs to do. Subaru has made it extremely easy to replace these filters and I do so about once a year. It takes about 5 minutes to do a full replacement if you include everything from opening the package to opening the hood of the car, etc. The old filters hold up well and show no signs of breaking down when I remove them. I’ll keep buying these as long as they’re made!

Perfect Subaru OEM fit, as it should be for a genuine OEM product. Much cheaper than buying at the dealer and having them install.

It looked a bit bigger at first but at 20k miles I can tell the original shrunk. Slightly different part number but it probably superseded the original. OEM also show the newer part number as compatible. Fit right in snug for a good seal.

Perfect fit! Easy to install.

It’s the engine air filter, so I felt it was worth spending a little extra (but less than at the dealership!) to get the OEM version. It fits perfectly in the 2023 Subaru Forester. It’s a quick job but worth watching a YouTube video if you’ve not done it before. This is a DIY maintenance task that anyone can do quickly & easily to save some $$.

We had our 2019 Subaru Ascent at the dealer for the annual state inspection. Of course they always have some “recommended services” they’d like you to get done, and this time they wanted us to replace the engine and cabin air filters, and their price was over fifty bucks each, roughly 2-1/2 times the cost of this filter, which is the same part no. as the one they would have used. It took less than two minutes to replace, and saved me over thirty bucks, so I’m happy. It arrived on time and in great condition. I’m going to order another to have on hand for next time.
