So I did a lot of research before I bought this product read all the reviews and it seem like this was going to be a very good replacement for my 2022 jeep wrangler. However, when I ordered the first unit and did the install, the unit would never boot up call customer service at stinger, and they had me update the three pack modules, and as I did that when I was plugged into the main one, the unit decided to boot up but as soon as I unplugged my laptop, it would not boot up so they suggested I return it and get another one, so I did Had to return it to Amazon. Wait for them to credit my account and bought another one so this process took about four weeks. Finally got the second one did the installation and the port for CarPlay would not work. I had to directly plug into the back of the unit with the cord for the phone for it to work it would not work with the cable provided they sent a second one. It did the same thing it would only work with it directly plugged into the back port of the radio , after about two months of operation, the screen began to freeze almost every time I would go into reverse it would say no signal and it would freeze on that screen. I would have to shut the vehicle off and allow it to reboot, so it wouldn’t say no signal, so it was suggested that I wait a couple minutes allow the system to fully boot Before I backed up this also didn’t work so now sometimes it works and sometimes it does not waiting on an answer from Stinger to see if we can resolve this. To me this is absolutely ridiculous that I’m having this much trouble with a supposed much better unit and every time you have to try to fix something you have to take the whole thing out to try to resolve the issue. This is quite converse home and this shouldn’t have to happen. I am very displeased with the product itself and hopefully they’ll work with me and do something to fix this problem and make it right but seriously considering on scrapping the whole unit and go to a different one. I am tired of not being able to see the screen and use the radio as it should.

My 2020 Jeep had the crappiest radio. I was originally going to buy the Stinger but the price tag threw me off considering it wasn’t even wireless AA/Carplay. Eventually I just pulled the trigger and couldn’t be happier. Installation was a little tricky. The videos online were older, the wiring harness I got was slightly different but I was able to figure it out eventually. The hardest part was probably trying to shove all the wiring behind the screen, there is no space in the Jeep dash. And I had to do it twice because I didn’t have the backup camera plugged in correctly. I bought a wireless USB AA/Carplay dongle so I could connect my phone.
I love the fact that everything I needed was included with the kit no guess work involved. The trim rings and the fit make it look like it was original equipment. The 10″ screen is awesome. Touch works great. The jeep radio had a 5″ screen that was pretty useless. I can finally see my backup camera now and it is very clear. I like the extra screens I have now like pitch/roll/altimeter and a bunch of engine/system diagnostics I didn’t have access to before. I installed the GPS antennae but don’t use it, just use my phone and AA with Waze or Google maps but may eventually get the maps JIC I am somewhere without a signal. Installed the external mic behind my rear view mirror where you can’t see it but it works fantastic in that location. I genuinely enjoy driving my car on trips more now because I have the large screen with navigation, no more squinting at my phone.
My only gripes are:
lack of wireless AA or Carplay but that can be fixed with wireless adapter.
Really hard to see the screen due to glare in the daytime. I put a screen protector on it but it wasn’t an anti glare protector. I may the protector due to the glare.

Had to send it back. All aspects of the head unit worked except the AM/FM radio and the XM radio. No sound or signal. Awaiting another unit that sure arrive tomorrow. I am sure the new unit will be everything and more than I expected. I will follow up once I get the new unit installed.
Part 2 I received the second unit. This time the unit came without the needed chime unit and the usb cable that runs from the rear of the center console to the actual head unit. I contacted the support team via email and got an extremely prompt response apologizing for the missing items and stating that missing items were being processed to be sent asap! So far their customer service and support are really on top of it. Stay tuned for the next installment.
Part 3 Missing parts received, head unit installed. So far so good. Works as advertised. Jeep unfortunately does not give you a lot of cabinet real estate to fit this beast in its designated space. You have to become creative in securing and tucking your unused wiring.
Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Product is awesome. Installation was easy except putting 10 miles of wiring into a space for 5 miles. I wish they had separate connectors that allow you to install with or with advanced audio system (external amp)
In this case you have to compress everything into that tight space and there is no way I will pull the sd card to update the navigation. I would not have purchased the on board nav had i know what a pita it was going to be to update it. They also need a way to lock the usb cables into place on the radio. here i would have been okay with a special cable. I hope the find a way to update the navagation via the USB connector.
