I bought this from a 3rd party seller—Discount Starter and Alternator. First off, the product was perfect right out of the box. But mine didn’t work correctly at first. DS&A tried their best to walk me through different smart steps to troubleshoot—-but in the end my mechanic troubleshooting skills weren’t up to the task and I thought the starter was faulty. So I sent it back, no problem, on DS&A’s dime. They bench tested the starter and found it to be without flaw. They then sent it back (after correspondence with me) completely repacked (it might have been a completely new one, I couldn’t tell). I replaced a faulty keyed ignition switch on my Kubota L35 tractor—–and voila! The starter worked flawlessly the first time and every time. I since contacted them to pay those two instances of shipping—no way should they be responsible for my lack of troubleshooting ability. Great company, great customer service, great product at a great price. I would recommend them anytime.

Purchased this starter for my Kubota L3400. Old one had to much draw. The new one was a perfect match and, I might add, came well packaged. Works fine, of course it is new. I will give it a couple of years and let you know.

It works! I could not find good, clear instructions anywhere as to how to remove or install a starter on my tractor. I did figure it out and was very thankful that I did not have to align that gear on the starter with the gears inside that black hole it came out of.
