It stopped who ever has been stealing my fuel from my Dodge Dart. It worked perfectly. Wish it had the leash on it but I still love cause it works. Great product.

I would not recommend this product, especially in cold weather. The keys are cheap and bent easily. Even in nice weather the keys are difficult to insert into the lock. When it became cold at all the key hole would become frozen and would only function with a combination of WD40 and by muscling it, adding ten minutes to gassing up. Eventually the entire internal key mechanism came right out of the gas cap making the product unusable.

I installed on my truck since ford’s 2017 f250s with the 6.2L don’t come with locks and it’s working so far. No check engine light and it has a tight seal. Only thing I wish they would’ve added a way to connect the string that comes on the oem one so you can’t loose it or drop it

This gas cap fit my car correctly and is easy to use. It has directions on the cap which way to turn the key to take off, and how to lock it back on. My old locking cap did not have these directions and sometimes I had to struggle with it. But to be sure it would fit my car I went to the manufactures website, partcat/slant

I must be an airhead because I see this was the 5th one of these I have bought since purchasing truck in 2011. The first 4 were all great until I left them on top of pump at gas station!
They changed the design, making them difficult to lock and unlock – install and remove. Really aggravating
If you don’t put it on well it will cause a check engine light with evaporative system leak error message.
Whoever decided to change what was working well is a dolt. Dont mess with success! New design probably saved manufacturer a penny each.
