Bought this as a replacement for the OE and it does the job. But wow, is it hard to get off .. You initially free it from the lock position and it is flowing nice and smooth and then it comes to a halt. You think, now I just remove. NOPE. You need to get a hold of it and really give it a hard twist. And then it frees and you can remove. I knew that it has clicked lock and I had freed it from the lock position. But that is the easy part. If it came off easily, it would get 5 stars. but my wife isn’t the strongest in her wrist and struggles.

I bought this cap for my Acura TL 2008. The dashboard was indicating I needed to tighten the fuel cap so I bought this thinking maybe the cap was probably worn out. I ordered and received the cap in a week and it didn’t solve the problem. So I went through the owners manual of my car and I read that it can also be a mechanical problem.
But it fits perfect and its good quality material at a very good price. Good luck to others with my same problem.

This cap saved a $200 Honda dealer diagnostic bill. You Tube and Amazon made this a less then $10 bill and 15 minutes invested. That is a great savings. The cap works perfectly, engine warning light went out.

First of all, the packaging is very save with all those bubbles plastic wrapping around the product, and arrive earlier than estimated on the email.
This Stant fuel cap is found to be a perfect replacement (perfect fit, no gas leak/hisses)for OEM caps in my GE8.
Now, I put my OEM caps in the storage room and let it relax in there.
Last but not least, looking forward for Amazon to have more competitive international shipping cost.

I’ve had this gas cap for less than 6 months. During a road trip, I had let the gas level get much lower than usual (running on fumes) and when I stopped, this gas cap would not open. The clicking mechanism spun in both directions so that it could not be removed. We were at a gas station on the highway, so I was looking at a long expensive tow to a garage. I was able to force it open finally, using pliers and all the strength in my fingers. I put the OEM cap back on as soon as I got home.
In addition, even before it failed, it sealed too tightly. My wife was often unable to open it without the use of a gas cap opener tool that we had to buy for an additional $20 to keep her from getting stranded. The two problems are probably related – either bad design or shoddy materials.
This cap was a complete waste of money. I bought this cap to remedy the check engine light issue that supposedly results from a gas cap that has lost its seal, but the solution created a new, more serious problem. At least the other one opened every time. Unfortunately, it seems that Stant is the only game in town for after-market gas caps anymore, so I guess it’s back to the dealer for a high-dollar cap that I can remove whenever I want.
I’m just glad my wife wasn’t alone when this happened.
